The new moon

Chapter 4

So I was stuck in Hephaestus's forge all alone. Plus I had to find a clue to get out of here. 

Uhggggggggg!!! Why is my life so miserable! Then I remembered what happened again. I must 

be dreaming, I thought. I pinched myself. It hurt.

"Wow!" I said, "That really happened."

"Indeed it did" said a female voice from behind her, She spun around.

"Who are you?" Lilly asked the blond woman.

"Why your mother of course" She exclaimed.

"WHAT!"

"Yes dear."

"Who are you?" She asked.

"Why, I am Selene. Goddess of the moon."

"Wait, so if you are Selene my mother, does that make my dad Zeus? King of the gods and lord of

 the sky?" She said remembering her Greek mythology topic in school.

"Yes," Selene said. "It does."

"But why am I mortal when you are a Greek deity?"

"You think you're a mortal?" Selene asked

"Yes." I said slowly

Selene laughed. "No silly, you are definitely not a mortal."

Ashamed I asked "Then what am I?"

"You," Selene said "are Pandia. The goddess of The full moon."

"Wait, no I'm not Pandia, I'm Lilly!"

She smiled, "That's the name your adoptive parents gave you."

"Huh. Maybe that's why I am blond and my other mom is Brunette. But is my dad that I live with 

Zeus or is he mortal to?"

"Yes that is probably the reason why your mom is brunette. And yes your dad is Zeus. I mean the 

dad you live with. I had him take you because I could never keep secret that you are a goddess. 

That's why your sister found out right at the beginning. But enough chit chat, we need to get you 

out of here and get you to Moon bay."

"Moon bay?" I asked "What is that?"

"More like where is that. Moon bay is a bay where all my children live in protection of moon 

magic."

"Oh wow that sounds cool. Before we leave I have two questions. First is, how old am I and why 

did I not know that I was a goddess before today?"

"You are 300 years old and you did not know you were a goddess because some evil god or 

goddess put a curse on you to become a mortal and forget you are a goddess.

"Oh! OK, and the second question is are there gods and goddesses in moon bay my age?"

"Yes Pandia, there is."

"Please don't call me that. I don't like the name Pandia. Can you just call me Lilly?"

"Sure Lilly, but please forgive my other kids when they see you again, they will for sure call you 

Pandia.

"OK, but before we go, how did the evil person put a curse on me through the moon magic 

barrier?"

"That I do not know." Selene said sadly "But let's get going."

"Wait," I said "don't I still have to find the clue and the treasure Hephaestus wants me to find?"

"Nope, you just come with me and we can go to moon bay."

"Ok then, let's go!"

"That's the spirit!"

And then we just disintegrated into silver smoke. And appeared in a silver bay, really we were 

waist deep in the silver water.

"Ummmmm? Why are we waist deep in water?"

"Oops I must not have been fully concentrated on getting us here. Sorry."

"What do you mean "not fully concentrated"?"

"I mean that my mind was not fully focused on bringing you here."

"Like you were thinking about something else other than here?"

"Yes. And I am really sorry."

"That's OK, don't worry about it."

"No, I am really sorry, it is your first day here and I must of made a bad impression on you."

"Please, don't worry, I'm fine."

"OK, now let's get you out of the water and into some dry clothes and then go meet your 

siblings."

"Okey dokey, let's go."
