- candy land -

It was a beautiful spring morning, the sun rose in beautiful orange-ish tones. You were on your way to the Armed Detective Agency, as always. On your way you suddenly came across a shop that was called „Candy Land". „It won't hurt checking this out real quick", you thought while entering the shop. Before you were masses of sweets. You examined all of them. There were plenty from all around the world. America, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Sweden and plenty more. Looking around you noticed the assortment was huge. The smell of freshly made pastries flew your way. Candy wherever you looked. Chocolate in all forms and flavours and many other sweets.

Overwhelmed by all these sweets, you just stood there, mouth wide opened. „Sorry? Are you looking for something?" The salesman pulled you out of your shock stare. „Oh n-no, I'm just looking, thank you", you stuttered, embarrassed by yourself. The friendly looking old man nodded, going back to do his work. You went through the store looking for sweets that looked tasty.

„I'll take this", you said while putting plenty of sweets on the counter. The salesman said: „That would be 1940 yen (ca. 15 euros)." I gave him the money, waved him goodbye and left the shop. You looked at your watch, realizing you lingered in the store for over 30 minutes. You rushed to the ADA, knowing you would be awfully late.

You finally arrived at your workplace, storming upstairs. „Y/n-san, where were you?! We were worried!", Kunikida-san shouted at you. You felt guilty not contacting them now. „I'm so sorry I got dragge-", suddenly something behind you pushed you to the ground. „Y/n I'm so glad you're doing fine! Finally you're here! It was so boring without you!" He pouted at me. You couldn't hold in your laugh, bursting out in tears. Ranpo was such a childish guy it was hilarious. After giving you this peculiar greeting his look fell on the sweets you just bought. „What sweets did you get there? Show me I wanna have some!" „Yeah", you said, „just let me get to my working table first." He immediately let go of you. Ranpo looked curiously at the sweets, wondering what they were.

"Here you go, just don't eat all of 'em", you said as you placed them on the table. You bought a casual bag of crisps, American candy and 2 pieces of this dessert called "Punschkrapfen" from Austria (it's really good 10/10 totally recommend). You could tell Ranpo was totally in love with these because of the big smile on his face while eating them. "You definitely have to try these out, here!", he told you whilst holding it right in front of your mouth. You took a bite, amazed by the taste of it. "Let's try to bake these sometime together!", you said brightly. "Totally!", he responded. The two of you ate up all the sweets together, going back to work.
