Yet I Stay Still

I've never understood how the world keeps moving,

Yet I stay still.

Unaware that the world is infinitely rotating
Throwing me upside down whenever it desires,

Yet I stay still.

With my feet so cemented to the ground,
My body so cemented to a bed,
That somedays I try to move,

Yet I stay still.

Because that's the thing with gravity.
Its weight might keep me still in this spiraling world,
But sometimes it weighs too much
And some days I want to dance with the movement of the world,

Yet I stay still.
