(A hosie story) A new beginning after the end of a bad chapter

CHAPTER 2: the morning after

Hope's POV
I wake up to the sound of heavy breathing, and a weight on my stomach. It was Josie, she was fast asleep on my stomach, she look so peacful and beautiful as she slept in my arms. It was slowly coming back to me, and what had happened the night before, Josie had slept here last night after the movie because i asked her to. I now realise how stupid i was to ask her to stay, she should never had stayed. I don't know how long she was awake but she snapped me out of my thoughts with her morning voice, "you know its rude to stare" she laughed slowly opening her eyes. "What! No I-I wasn't staring" I blurted out, "yes, yes you were but its okay its perfect lie the forehead kiss last night" she smiled. "You- you were awake?" I questioned, "yes I felt your soft lips, gently kiss my forehead". Shit! I thought she was asleep she wan't meant to know about that. "Im sorry but you have to go, I shouldn't of asked you to stay last night it was a mistake, its to complicated with my parents just dying and your just out of a relationship with Penelope " I told her.

Josie's POV
Hope's comment hurt me like nothing else before, was it really that much of a mistake. Crap did i scare her describing how her kiss felt. "Was i really that much of a mistake" I finally spoke with tears forming in my eyes, and I knew for a fact she saw my tears forming. Before she could say anything else I stood up and stormed out as quickly as i could. I made my way back to my dorm to get changed and ready for my classes which started in 15 minutes, as soon as I walked through the door Lizzie was sitting up in her bed dressed and ready for the day. She bitterly asked me "where have you been all night Josette Saltzman", "I spent the night with Hope" I said under my breathe so Lizzie wouldn't see I was upset from Hope telling me staying over was a mistake, maybe to her but not to me i enjoyed myself even if she didn't. "Hope? Since when does she do sleepovers, especially with you?" Lizzie said in bitchy tone, "what does it matter to you it was a stupid sleepover big deal" I spat at her. She instantly knew something was up and asked "what happened? What did she do to you? I swear if she laid a finger on you i will rip her t-" I interrupted her "I'm fine, she didn't do anything stay out of it Lizzie."

Hope's POV
After Josie stormed out of my room, I instantly felt guilty I could visibly see her tears forming and how much I hurt her after the amazing night we had. She didn't know but I was more hurt knowing I hurt her, I never want to hurt her thats why I told her to leave I was trying to protect her, anyone who gets close to me dies or leaves i couldn't do that to her no matter how bad it hurt in the process it will save her in the future. Moments later i hear na knock at my door snapping me back to reality, I open it and its, "Lizzie? What are you doing here" " you bitch! What did you do to Josie i swear if you even touched a hair on her head i will destr-" Lizzie yelled but i stopped her "i didn't hurt her Lizzie, i said something that upset her ok? Now would you mind leaving so i can get ready for class" i said in an annoyed tone. "Fine but if you hurt her again you'll have to answer to me" she responded with a death stare on me as she left and closed the door.

Josie's POV
I went to find Lizzie as our dad was looking us to give a tour to 2 new possible students, and i met her coming out of Hope's room, "i was just looking for you, what were you doing in there?" I said to Lizzie she jumped a bit as i had scared her "i was seeing what happened between you two that made you upset this morning". I sighed and told Lizzie "Lizzie i ask you to stay out of it and expect you to respect my private life" in an annoyed tone "fine as long as no more pointless sleepovers with her" "thats no problem i highly doubt there'll be another one ever". "Anyways why were you looking for me Jo" "oh dad whats us to give 2 possible new students a tour of the school" "ugh can't he find someone else to do it, but fine hopefully they are hot." Lizzie exclaimed.

Me and Lizzie were standing at the front door waiting for the 2 possible students to arrive, after 10 minutes 2 boys arrived at the door with my dad. My dad introduced us to Landon and Rafael. Me and Lizzie introduced our selves, "I'm Josie and this is Lizzie" i said "sisters" Lizzie spoke up "twins actually" i said to them. We started the tour at the pitch and ended at the cafeteria, when we arrived Hope was already there sitting alone in the conner she looked up and we made eye contact whilst Lizzie babbled on to Rafael, she was obviously crushing.

Hope's POV
I was in the cafeteria getting breakfast after the arguments i had that morning with the twins, when they entered with 2 boys, one a stranger to me the other a familiar face, it was the boy i had danced with in town square a few nights before my father died, Landon. I remembered that night vividly as me and Landon danced to the music in town square as my father watched us. Thinking about that night made me upset. I looked to his right and there was Josie who happened to be looking at me we locked eyes but i was stilling thinking about that night and i was visibly upset so i quickly got up and left. Hoping no one noticed and followed me i ran to my room closed the door and lay face down on my bed crying. Next thing i know i hear a knock and my door click open i turned to see Josie. I quickly turned away so that she would not see me crying and weak with tears slowly falling down my cheeks. I swiftly spoke "go away I'm not in the mood for company" "Hope? I'm not leaving until you tell me whats wrong" i so badly wanted to tell her but i couldn't, i didn't want to be her friend so that she wouldn't be hurt. "Josie we can't be friends. Now would you please leave" i said as i turned to she her with a single tear rolling down her face, "what? Why?" She replied with hurt in her voice "everyone I'm close to always get hurt or worse die" i exclaimed " nothings going to happen to me" Josie tried to comfort me as she walked towards me and put her hand on my shoulder. I quickly lifted my hand and said a spell quietly under my breathe which pulled Josie outside my dorm and i locked the door with magic and put a boundary spell up so she couldn't get back in.

Hope your enjoying so far im having so much fun writing this but don't worry unlike julie plec hosie will happen in my story :) i will hopefully be updating every day if i get the chance i have a few ideas for the next chapters if theres anything in particular leave a comment and ill try and put it in
