(A hosie story) A new beginning after the end of a bad chapter

CHAPTER 3: Josie

Hope's POV
Its been a few days since I told Josie we couldn't be friends anymore, and ever since i have felt this void in my life from her. To make things worse, every time i see Landon the only thing i can think about is my dead father causing me to lose control. Things start to shake lights start to flicker and glass starts to shatter, but for some reason every time i have a melt down Josie always happens to be there and once my eyes meet hers, and we lock eye contact i regain control over my power. It hurts me to know i hurt her but hopefully some day she realises i did it to protect her because i care for her deeply.

Its the next day and i have fighting training with Alaric and i can't wait to hear him lecture me on how i need to let people in and make friends, he keeps hinting towards Josie but i can't do that to her. "Hope this is getting bad, its our third session this week don't you have better things to do" Alaric spoke as we spared "like what?" I questioned "maybe homework? Make friend? Talk to Josie?" Alaric replies quickly as though he was prepared for this conversation. "What do you mean talk to Josie? Wait how did you even know me and Josie weren't speaking?" I spat back in aa snarky tone "I'm her father Hope. She comes to me when shes upset or worried about some one like you" Alaric said "well tell her not to worry about me I'm fine, but also tell her one day she'll understand why we can't be friends anymore. Okay?" I finally said whilst still sparing. "You need friends Hope no matter how bad you think you don't" i quickly changed the subject, "why is Landon still here he's not supernatural" i said "because Hope he can't be compelled which means he is indeed supernatural so we can't let him leave with him knowing about us and what we are". I sighed and walked back to my room to go shower, when i walked into my room someone was in there sitting on my bed. It was Josie.

"What are you doing here i thought i made myself clear last time, and i need to shower" i said and i walked to my chest of drawers to get some clean clothes for after my shower. "i needed to see if you were okay. I see what happens when you see Landon walking past you in the halls, its a good thing you have no classes with him or i don't think we'd have a school anymore" she joked "seriously Josie why are you here i already told you we can't be friends" i said hesitantly "just because you said we can't be friends doesn't mean I'm going to stop trying and besides im still going to check up on you no matter what as i know its been a tough couple of months for you with your father passing and that terrible fire with your mother, so I'm not going anywhere whether  you like it or not. But you never did give me a good reason for shutting me out Hope, would you mind elaborating? " "Josie my mother didn't die in a fire" i said with a tear rolling down my cheek "she died in a similar way though" i spoke trying to hold it together "do you remember my ex-boyfriend, Roman?" I questioned " yes he was a dick" said Josie "well basically he got close to me because his mother tricked him to get to my mother, he was enrolled a this school to get close to me and he succeeded. After i got suspended from turning that werewolf to a hybrid i went home and my uncle made some stupid remark saying that 'my dad would end up coming back to New Orleans if something big happened' this was during the hollow so i couldn't see my father" i said "the hollow?" Said Josie " yes the hollow remember the dark magic you transferred from me to my father leading to his death?" i asked "yes quite vividly" Josie answered "well we had to stay away from each other when it was in me so i took my mom and hide her in a church attic with a cloaking spell i wrote myself which was faulty, that day my father showed up and i was happy but he was concerned for my mother until he learned that it was me who took her he made me take him to her. So i did when we got there, there was blood everywhere and she was gone turns out the intimate touch me and Roman had was for him to see where my mother was and his mother took mine." I spoke trying not to break "they took her because they were scared of me, they ended up taking her werewolf side leaving her a regular vampire. Being a hybrid she didn't need or have a daylight ring, my dad tried to save her but he couldn't she took of Roman's mum's daylight ring and flung herself out into the sun to save me. It was my fault she died and then shortly my father and uncle Elijah died, ever since i will not allow anyone to get close to me including you Jo so you need to go" i said with a broken voice "one day you'll understand. Its for your own good" i whispered, but i think she heard. Josie ran over and hugged me "its ok Hope i'm not going anywhere" she said in response to my story. I couldn't let her in, i wouldn't. I asked her to leave she was hesitant but she listened and as soon as i heard the door close with a flick of my had it was locked and i started to sob. Eventually i drifted off sad about not being able to let Josie stay.  

It might be a while till the next update im not at home rn but ill try my hardest hope you enjoyed :)
