I sighed, taking my shoes and purse off. Walking towards the kitchen, I could hear Kai's voice through the thin walls of our apartment, and a smile crept on my face. At least Taehyun hadn't been alone."Hey, little babies", I said, supporting all my weight on my shoulder touching the door frame. They looked up from Kai's computer and pressed pause.
"Hey, noona", Taehyun smiled widely. "Isn't it early for you to be back home?", he tilted his head.
The grin that crept on my lips was ginormous, and then I could feel all of the emotion bubbling in my stomach. I was ecstatic, and I could bet Taehyun and Kai would be too.
"Is she having a stroke?", Kai mumbled towards my brother as soon as I started moving around.
"No, it's just her happy dance".
"Huh", Kai nodded a while, and then waited for me to stop dancing. "Good thing she went for acting and not dancing", he shrugged.
"Yah! My dancing skills aren't that bad", I furrowed, and he snorted. "Either ways, I have the greatest news ever!", I chirped and made my way towards the kitchen, both boys following me as lost puppies.
I picked up the frozen pizza I got to celebrate the news, and both of their eyes seemed about to pop out of their sockets. We never had pizza, unless it was someone's birthday.
Taehyun loved pizza. Before mom died, we would have it at least once every two weeks, just because mom loved to see him smile. I loved it too.
"It seems like the news are amazing", Kai said breathlessly while they both watched me take out a bottle of coke. And two different flavored ice creams.
"Maybe she is having a stroke", Taehyun mumbled and I rolled my eyes.
Before I got the call, I would've never thought about coming home with such delicacies. We could barely make it to the end of the month, and I would even have to work extra night shifts sometimes so our apartment wasn't taken from us. That's the place where we grew, mom's place, and I would pay the mortgage. Because mom deserved it.
"Well, as much as I love to see you take out junk food after junk food, I would love to know why you bought it in the first place", Taehyun couldn't hide the fact that he found my behavior a bit odd.
"Okay, I'll tell you the news. No one else knows", I giggled. "Oh, sit down. I don't want you guys to faint", they both did reluctantly.
Their eyes were wide open, waiting for the words to slip out of my mouth, and I thought it was perfect. My two favorite boys in the whole while world would be able to celebrate the greatest news of my life with me. Did I say I was ecstatic?
"I got a role!"
They both blinked.
That's it. That's all they did. They blinked in silence, looking unaltered by the greatest news I'd ever dropped on them.
