Being alone with someone else makes you find appreciation in having that someone else.

After not having that someone for a long time, you noticed that...

Katsuki is the reason you could sleep that night.

The sunlight bled through my curtains as my alarm clock woke me up with a beeping noise. I sat up in my bed and a few seconds later Aizawa walks into my room with a pillow.

"Damn it I couldn't hit you this morning, why did you actually get up? That's the highlight of my day." He said

I smile, "Good to know that hitting me and pissing me off makes your day, Aizawa."

He sighs and leaves the room, "Get dressed quick, I don't need you making me late because you're checking yourself out in the mirror or some shit."

I laugh and get out of bed. I grab a donut from downstairs and eat it on my way back to my room. I hold the donut in my mouth for a bit, wipe the crumbs on my hand off with my pants, and grab my school uniform. I finish the donut and walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth and walk back to my room to put the uniform on.

I walk downstairs after styling my hair and such, then slip my shoes on at the door. I walk out of the house and lock the front door behind me. I jump into Aizawa's car and he heads off to UA.

The drive was short and silent. The entire time I looked at the dry, golden-lit road  and the trees that sat beside it, allowing their leaves to dance along with the slight breeze that carried them. The sun beamed into the car windows, but made the the lawns of civilians' houses glimmer with the morning dew. As I gazed upon the sky, the slowly moving clouds, and the faint view of the moon I thought about how beautiful it was where we lived.

Somehow, knowing more of the truth from my past allowed clarity to reach my mind. Yes, it was a lot at once. Yes, I try to ignore it and shut it out as much as possible. After all, it was in the past. What was kept from me can no longer harm me. However, now that the past was so much clearer, so was the present. I can't say the same about the future, my mothers words still haunted me.

They did when I was a kid, too. The difference between now and then is huge, though. Before, I had nobody but the stars and the night sky that accompanied my mind and it's thoughts. Now, I still have that, but I also have friends that care about me, a dad that isn't quite my dad, but still makes me happy like a normal one would. I have midnight, too. Even though we haven't talked since right after the sports festival, and we don't talk as often as a normal mother and daughter would, she's still the support a normal mom would be. I have Katsuki as well. He makes me laugh and feel safe being myself, makes me feel accepted and cared for.

One day I'll be able to tell all of them that. I'll be able to tell them how much they really mean to me and how much they saved me. How much of an impact they had on me.

I walked into class 1-A after Aizawa and I split up in the teacher's parking lot. I sat in my seat next to Kirishima and put an ear phone into my right ear to listen to music. I clicked Space Song by Beach House and let it play as sat back and closed my eyes.

I hear feel my desk shift and open my eyes. I catch Bakugou leaning back on my desk and looking at me while he listened to what Kirishima was saying to him.

I smirk, "Excuse you. Not even a hi?"

"Hi." He said, looking down at me.

I tilt my head, "What did I do this time?"

I saw Katsuki look at my lips, back at my eyes, smile, and then look back at Kirishima.

I chuckle and rest one hand on my desk and one to lay my head on. I close my eyes again until I feel a somewhat aggressive tap on the top on my hand.

I look up at Katsuki with a blank face. Without looking at me, he moves my hand and intertwines his fingers with my own. I look down and our hands and back up at him with a shocked expression. I see a tiny smile form on his face.

I close my eyes and squeeze his hand, "Smug asshole," I whisper.

"I knew it!"

'Can't I close my eyes for more than three seconds?'

I turn to the girl's voice from in front of me.

Mina smiles at me, "You have a boyfriend, you have a boyfriend!"

"I am fully aware of that." I respond.

"So, how does it feel? Magical? Warm? Super awesome!?" She asks.

I laugh, "Sure, Mina. Sure."

"Something was magical alright..."

I frown at Katsuki and slap his back.

Mina looks at me, then Katsuki, and back at me, "No way. The night after the sports festival? Weren't you sore already, Y/n?"

I look at her with bright red cheeks, able to hear Katsuki start giggling, "Why are people saying that! We didn't do anything like that, damn!"

"Then why did Katsuki say something was magical?" Mina says, wiggling her eyebrows.

I sigh, "We kissed. That's it."

"For a long ass time." Katsuki whispered.

I growl, "Katsuki I swear to god I will kill you right now in this classroom."

He smirks, "You wouldn't be holding my hand if you were actually mad."

Aizawa walks in, "Everyone get to your seats."

I grin and let go of Katsuki's hand, "Don't cry too hard about it."

He grunts and walks to his seat, sitting and slumping down into his chair.

"Okay class, we have the internship requests in for each of the students. I ask you to choose by the end of this week. Here on the board is the number of offers each student has."

I read the board of agency offers.

"Shoto Todoroki: 4,123 offers"

"Katsuki Bakugou: 3,556 offers"

"Y/n L/n: 987 offers"

"Tokoyami Fumikage: 360 offers"

I was cut off of reading by a thick packet of papers being put on my desk.

"Here are the offers and the forms for each agency." Aizawa said.

I thanked him and looked through my offers. None really caught my eye that could help me too much with my quirk until I saw midnight's name. Of course she offered for me, I wasn't surprised. However, she knew me and my abilities the best out of any of these people. Her quirk is more of a short-range, slower quirk that need lots of patience to use. It's powerful when used in the right ways.

I shuffle through the forms to find Midnight's form to accept her offer. I grab the paper, take out a pen, and start filling out the form.

"You chose already, dumbass?"

I look up at Katsuki with a smile, "Mhm! I chose to internship with Midnight!"

He nods and puts a hand on my desk. Then he puts his papers down and looks at me, "Wanna hang out tonight?"

"Yeah, sure! Where though?"

"Why not your house?" He replies.

I look at the front of the room to Aizawa then back at Katsuki, "Are you sure about that?"

He smirked and headed back to his seat, "Yeah, we can walk after school. The day's almost over anyways."

I nod and look at the time.

'Ten minutes.'

I stand up from my seat and hand my paper to Mr. Aizawa, "Here, I chose midnight."

He takes my paper and nods, "Good choice, I didn't see anyone else that would help you more than she would."

"Yeah, agreed. Also, Katsuki and I are going to walk home after school."

He slowly turns to me, "To our house?"

I nod and wait for his answer.

"Alright, I have to stay after school to do grading and reports. Have fun." He sighed.

I smile and walk over to Katsuki's desk after packing up and grabbing my bag, "We're good."

He nods and grabs my hand again as I sit next to him on his desk.

Kirishima finishes his sentence and looks at me, "You got a lot of offers too! I saw you walk up to Aizawa with a form, who did you choose?"

I look up at him from my phone screen, "Pro Hero Midnight!"

"Oh, that's sick! I haven't chosen yet."

I smile, "I'm sure you'll figure it out soon! You have the rest of the week to decide, you know."

Kirishima nods and turns to Kaminari when the final bell rings.

"See you two later!" Kirishima said.

I giggle and lead Katsuki out the door.

As we walk out the front of the school Katsuki says, "So, Aizawa agreed?"

I nod, "Yup! He won't be home for a while anyways, he has to fill out papers and grade stuff."

He hums in agreement and tightens his grip on my hand.

It was warmer than it was this morning. The dew on the lawns, now completely gone and the sun was just shining on the green grass.  The heat from the sun laid on your face as the shine made your eyes glimmer. A small smile was plastered on your face as you took in the warm spring environment.

Katsuki looked at you with a soft expression at that moment. Even though the stars don't show in the daytime, he could easily see them in the shine your eyes reflected. The small smile on your face resembled one of a happy child, content with the simple life they had.

Your life was far from that, but you kept going. Thats why he admires you so much. The indirect fight and determination you have is amazing. No matter what happens, you stay strong and don't back down for anyone.

You were the one who actually made Katsuki calm. The thought of you made him calm. Not just you, but the thought of having you. That you're his and nobody else can say the same. He can intertwine his fingers with yours, press his lips onto your own in any way he wants. He can hold your waist and wrap his arms around you at any point in time and you were happy with that too. When he can kiss the nape of your neck in a tender manner, caress your body as he pleases. The fact that nobody else can do the same, and nobody else can make you feel the same...

makes everything worth it.
