Chapter Three:

Things had kind of gone back to normal between Nene and Hanako, Nene was able to ignore her crush on Hanako, and focus more on school, and their friendship! She decided Hanako would never like her like that, and plus he's a ghost! How would that even work!?

"Hello Miss Yashiro! Ready to clean the toilets?" Hanako said with a sly smile, shocking Nene from her thoughts,

"Oh! Hey Hanako!" Nene said, a little surprised, "Ughhh Toilet duty? Really???" Nene picked up the toilet cleaner, and groaned.

"Either that, or we can go shopping for a nice fish bowl for you!" Hanako smirked at her.

"Okay okay!! I'll clean the toilets..." Nene groaned and put on some yellow cleaning gloves, and started cleaning. Hanako teased her, and she groaned and said he was a brat. Their relationship made her feel...Like she was special. Like she had a real friend, even if nobody could see him. If only she could tell him how she felt...

"Somebody's lost in thought, eh Miss Yashiro?" Hanako said, now right next to Nene, extremely close to her face.

"EH- You're REALLY close Hanako-" Nene said, now and bright red.

"Oh? Is somebody blushing??" Hanako said, smirking at her. "Is something wrong?" He chuckled, and stepped back.

"N-no- You were just really c-close-" Nene stuttered, her face getting redder by the second.

"Oh? So you don't mind me getting so close?" Hanako said, his flirtatious smirk making it 100 times worse.

"Not really.." Nene mumbled under her breath.

"What was that?" Hanako said, not fully understanding what she said.

"N-nothing!" Nene quickly defended. "I- I finished the toilets!" Nene said, quickly putting away the supplies.

"I'm glad!" Hanako said. "It's pretty late, so you should probably get home." Hanako said, he handed Nene her bag and smiled.

"Oh goodness you're right!" Nene looked out the window to see the Sun nearly set. "Hey Hanako?" Nene asked, looking at Hanako.

"Yes Yashiro?" Hanako questioned, curiously, "Do you need something?"

"Thank you." Nene said, a smile appearing on her pale face. "For making me feel special. Not a lot of people do....And I'm just glad I have you." She said, her face turning pink.

"Well, Miss Yashiro, there is no need to thank me." Hanako said, he softened a bit. "Now it's getting late, so get out of here before I make you rescrub the counters" Hanako said, a smile appearing on his face.

"EY! Okayokay! I'm leaving!" Nene said, turning around and leaving.

Hanako watched as Nene walked out of the bathroom and out of the school. She turned a corner and was out of sight, on her way home. "I really do think you're special Nene Yashiro ...If only I could show you..."
