Hidden Agendas
Season 2 Episode 2 (Episode 28)
3rd POV:
Red X jumps out of the skyline above onto the warehouse's roof with Robin close behind him. They run across the rooftop; he hammers onto the 'vanish' button again on his belt, getting nothing but parks as Robin throws himself ahead and the thief leaps high and far. "Catch you later." Red X teases him as he gives him a salute before vanishing with a flicker. Robin stands alone on the rooftop looking out, feeling angry at himself; Starfire flies up through the window and lands nearby with saucer-eyed stares at her leader. After a moment, she jabs a finger repeatedly against his shoulder, eliciting grunts of pain as the other three Titans run over, joining them.
"Hey! Star! Ow!" Robin cries out and grabs her wrist, stopping her assault. "That hurts!"
"Then you are not a hologram?" She asks him.
"No." He answers, letting go of her wrist, she gives him a suspicious look, recalling the decoy from last time, and she pokes more, prodding him from every angle.
"The last time we faced the Red X, he was you in disguise, and you were not really there." She points out
"STARFIRE, CUT IT OUT!" Robin shouts, throwing her away, getting fed up with the poking and prodding.
"He is not a hologram," Star confirms.
"He could still be a robot," BB comments and looks over at Cyborg. "Check him for batteries." Cyborg, the resident expert on that subject, pulls on a rubber glove and extends his index finger, and Robin freaks out.
"Wait! Please! It wasn't me!" Robin yells and puts his right hand to his heart and left hand in the air. "I promise! It wasn't me." They trade an assortment of glances, and Robin turns around, walking across the roof. "Red X was a mistake, a mistake I won't ever make again." He walks off with the others heading back to the Tower.
TEEN TITANS! GO!
Robin walks down to the basement of the Tower, he puts in the pin for the steel door, it opens with a loud noise, and he walks inside the room with computer equipment arraying along the walls and walks to the centre desk with a computer. He tries powering up the computer, but it seems the new Red X has damaged it, and he looks over at the vault door ripped off its hinges and the suit backing board empty. He fishes out his phone and looks down, searching for a certain number and presses the call number, he hears the ringing tone before a click, and he hears a soft feminine voice on the other end.
TEEN TITANS! GO!
Up in the Operation Centre, the others all look over at the screen with several pictures of Red X. "I mean if Robin's the ex-Red X, who's the new guy?" Cyborg questions and Beast Boy pushes him aside with a dry-erase board sliding it, knocking Cyborg away, and spins the board showing the cartoon terrible drawings, trying to develop some theories of who could be under the mask.
"Okay. If he's not Robin's evil twin, then he's obviously a bionic monkey infused with Robin's DNA." BB theories a ridiculous one, and the girls look at the crude drawings; Cyborg pops up behind them, with the same reaction. Raven reaches out with a black-glowing hand; the board behind him spins, catching him and flinging him into the kitchen with a yell, and impacts hard, throwing bits around along with the larvae. Starfire covers her mouth with both hands as it wriggles along, but Raven doesn't notice.
"Face it. Red X could be anyone. Anyone smart enough to find the suit and dumb enough to take it for a joyride." Raven points out as BB gets to his feet, feeling a little woozy from the fall.
