I jerked out from my thoughts as I heard someone calling my name. I turned to find out that it was none other than Neena.
" Artika, I had been calling you for the past 5 minutes to be precise and what do you think you are doing? ", She scolded me.
The truth was, I was pondering over what Ma said yesterday.
"He is ..................", she trailed off. "......... Deepak Malhotra ...", she whispered. "He ... actually proposed me today and ....... I accepted it.", She added. "That's why I was overexcited earlier.", she said.
After what ma had said, I was only thinking about it. I was thinking so much that I turned on the cold water instead of hot water for the shower today, I dipped my biscuit in water instead of tea and I didn't even notice my friends coming.
My beautiful overthinking habit..........
Infact this 2½ hour was a waste, cause I haven't read anything so far. The only thing running in my mind was the name 'Deepak Malhotra'. Like, I have heard it somewhere but-
" Young lady, again !!! Are you day-dreaming ?? ", Neena asked exaggeratedly as if day-dreaming was a crime.
" Yes, she must be dreaming about her potential future husband, isn't it Arti? ", She asked while innocently battling her eyelashes. Can't this girl leave me in peace?
Just then, Swetha interrupted, " Arti, are you okay? ", She asked. " Yeah, I am good. Just some really different thoughts running in my mind. "
" What's running in your mind?", Swetha asked. " It's that- ", before I could finish I was rudely interrupted by a not-so-loud scream.
" Girls, it's raining out now !!! ", Riya shrieked and started whining. " How are we supposed to go to the park right now? ", She asked, sprawling on the floor and throwing fits of tantrum.
That's when I looked out to see it was raining. Not so heavily, but heavily. What am I even saying....?
" It's okay, it isn't a big deal. The rain will stop in an hour or two. In that time we can discuss about Arti'sproblem. ", Swetha announced.
When all of them settled after the little drama I began explaining what happened yesterday. After explaining, Riya started dancing like crazy. She was joined by Neena who was dancing as she had won a battle.
" Finally, Arti FINALLY. You got to know your future dad is. After so much of struggle you got to know who your future dad is !!!!!! YAY !! ", Neena said while dancing her infamous-dramatic-duck dance.
" Okay..okay girls ..... ", Swetha said trying to stifle her laughter. " We can have this sweet dance later. First we should know who this Deepak Malhotra is. From what Devi aunty said, I think this guy must be really influential. And I have also heard this name before ..... ", she trailed off while thinking about the man.
" Hey idiots, how about we Google his name? ", Riya asked while wiggling her eyebrows.
" That's a good idea actually. Wait let me search for Arti'slaptop. ", Neena said while standing up from the bed to search my laptop.
" Hey, it's in my cupboard. 3rd rack from the top to the left ", I instructed her.
Minutes later, Neena came with the laptop and settled it in front of us in a way that we could all see the screen
" Okay, this is it! ", Swetha said while entering the name DEEPAKMALHOTRA .
After minutes of waiting, we were soon greeted by column that contained a brief description of the person.

Deepak Malhotra, 46 years old, Chairman of Malhotra Corporations .
" Deepak Malhotra .... ", Swetha said while squinting her eyes to read more. "......... is an Indian billionaire and business tycoon who is the Chairman and Owner of Malhotra Corporations. He is 46 years old and had been receiving the Best Business Man Award for 5 consecutive years from 2010 to 2015. He is in the Forbes Top 100 Influential Men with a rank of 42. He is a philanthropist who supports various NGOsby providing them with financial support .", Swetha ended.
"Woah that's impressive ", Neena commented. "Can't believe this girl is getting such a dad. ", Riya said earning a glare from me.
"Wait, I am gonna Google Malhotra Corporations. ", Swetha said hastily pressing the keys on my laptop.
After a while she started, " Malhotra Corporations., is an Indian multi-billion conglomerate that deals with businesses ranging from IT, Hospitals, Education, Textile, Factories, Ports and Ship Building to Electronic Device Production ", she said.
" It is a Parent Company actually. It was started by his late wife and then after his wife's demise he took full charge of it ", she explained in an attempt to make us understand things.
" As we know, the Chairman is Deepak Malhotra. But, they have a CEO and MD. And they are none other than the sons of Mr. Malhotra. ", Swetha said making my eyes go wide.
" Sons? What are you saying? ", I asked her frantically.
" Yeah, Mr. Malhotra has 5 sons! ", Swetha said making my eyes go even wider.
