Can We Talk?
On her way to her favorite book store, she admits that she still remembers everything. The memories, the butterflies she felt on her stomach back then. "Well, that was a long time ago." She whispered to herself as she continued roaming around her arms on her back while looking up and down on the bookshelves.
About to reach the book she wanted, a different hand also reached for it. The two hands touched for a second making them surprised.
"I'm sorry." The girl said as she bowed to the person next to her. "It's okay." The boy answered, she knew that voice sounded familiar, she looked up and she was right. "Oh, hi there, jungwon!" She greeted with a smile.
The boy didn't expect to meet her, he gave an awkward smile back. "Hi, what are you doing here?" He asked, "Nothing, just roaming around to see if they have new books, you?" she asked back, the boy scratched his head, "Same, I guess." He replied.
"See you at school." The girl said as she fixed her bag and left, "Yeah, see you too." The boy replied, almost in a whisper tone. "I should talk to her." The boy said as he run fast chasing her.
"Lia!" He shouted not caring if people are looking at him, the girl turned around. "Yeah? What's the problem? Did I forgot something?" She asked, looking at him. "Yeah, you did." He answered, the girl was checking her bag, what did she possibly forgot?
"You forgot me." He said, closing his face to the girl.
The girl looked to him, eyes widened. The butterflies she felt back then, it came back, again. "Your face is too close." Lia said as she looked down, the boy chuckled. "Why exactly did you chase me?" She asked, "You agreed that we should talk, right?" He asked as the girl nodded.
"Meet me again at the bridge, exactly 6:30 pm, Okay?" He asked, the girl smiled. "Okay." She then turned back and left. Jungwon smiled at her while looking at her silhouette who was now gone.
He came up with an idea before meeting her, the boy then rushed running to the store to buy something.
5 minutes before the meeting
lia dressed up, she wanted to be presentable when meeting him. "Tsk, why am I dressing up anyways? It's not like this is a date." She said, "Well, I think it's like one." A voice answered, Lia tensed up knowing who's voice it is.
"Brother." She said as she looked through her door and saw her brother smiling like crazy. "It's not what you think." She added, Her brother chuckled at her. "I know you like him and there's nothing wrong with that." He answered, "But, really..It's not like that." She replied.
Her brother went up to her and hugged her, "If ever he hurts you, tell me. Before anyone else, tell me first." He said as he hugged her tightly, caressing her hair. Lia smiled, "I will." She answered. "Now, go one before you will be late." He said patting her head, Lia smiled and left the room.
Sunghoon looked at her, while smiling. She's not a little Lia anymore. he thought.
Lia was running, she was panting. Luckily, when she arrived the boy was not there yet. She sighed in relief, "I'm glad, I'm here first." She said, "And I'm glad I'm not that late either." Jungwon answered, she looked back and smiled at him.
She noticed that he was hiding something, "What are you hiding?" She asked, "Oh, its...uh..for you!" He said looking down and closing his eyes while he gave the flower to the girl. Lia smiled at him, as she accepted the flowers, "Thank you." She said as she smelled the roses.
"Did you really know that roses are my favourite flowers?" She asked, "Or is it just a guess?" She added, "Do I get it right everytime?" He asked, "Yeah, remember the singing competition? You gave me a flower, right?" She asked, as the boy nodded.
