Colors
“I can see colors now.” They both said in unison.
None of them could believe it, seeing colours, it was unbelievable for the two of them.
“So, this is what fireworks looks like?” Lia said as she smiled. “Yes, this is what it looks like.” he said, looking at her.
“I’m very happy that I saw colors because of you.” Jungwon said, as he parted her hair. “Me too, words are not enough to describe what I'm feeling today.” she replied.
“Oh, and one more thing before we go back. Can you give me your hand?” Jungwon asked her. Not knowing what to do, she followed what he was saying.
“I don't know what you're doing but..” she said as she placed her hand, Jungwon then grabbed something from his pocket, to her surprise it was the...
The partner of the ring he was wearing.
“Wait, the partner of the ring?” she asked, he nodded. “But, it's grandma Ahnjong's right? Are you suppose to give it to me right now?” she added.
“Don’t worry, I asked permission.” he said, he then gave her the ring. She looked at it and smiled.
“I love it.” she whispered.
---
“Wake up already lia.” her brother said as she yawned and looked outside the window. The kids running around, mothers placing their blankets and clothes outside the sun, old people gathering the fruits and plants they've planted, and the birds flying up above.
It was a great view.
“So you can see colors now?” her brother asked her, she looked unto him and smiled. “Yes, I can now.” she replied, she realized sunghoon still can't see colours.
“I’m sure you too, would see colors someday.” she said, her brother turned around and smiled at her, then left her room.
Lia came running down the stairs, being excited about the news she's going to tell her grandparents.
“Grandma and Grandpa!” she said as she sat down, “I have a good news!” she added, smiling widely.
“Really? What is it?” they asked.
“I can see colors now.” she said, her grandparents look at her, their faces in shock. “what?” they asked in unison. “colors!” she responded.
“Then mind telling me what color this is?" Sherly asked her, “Blue.” she responded.
Meanwhile, sunghoon was just there, listening to their conversation, he wanted to see colors too.
Lia noticed he was being quiet, “are you okay?” she asked him, he continued swallowing his cereal and smiled at her. “yeah.” he responded.
“Stop worrying Lia, I'm fine.” He said patting her head, reassuring her he was really fine.
When indeed inside, he wasn't.
Lia went to Ahnjong's, while sunghoon didn't want to come even though he knew his friend was there.
He lied down, his arms covering his eyes. Sighing heavily.
“Sunghoon, dear. Are you okay?” Sherly asked her while carrying a tray filled with cookies and a cup of milk.
“Yeah, I am.” he said and gave her a small smile.
Sherly chuckled which made sunghoon raise his eyebrows and look at her. “Sunghoon, you're not fine, and that's okay.” Sherly said.
