V - A Positive Perspective

Ship 2

BIANCA POV

This. This is it.

MY FIRST POLUS MISSION! Gah!
I am SO. Excited.

"Bee, calm down. You're going to lose all your energy by the time you get on the ship."

I look to one of my managers. I give a little spin, already laughing.
"Pffft, no way! I bet my energy won't be any different once I'm on that ship." My manager gives an exhausted sigh when hearing my overly enthusiastic tone of voice. "Your energy is never any different anyway, I guess."

The ship is huge! I love it! All the rooms, I try my best to remember all of them, but when you're as hyperactive as me, it all goes in one ear and out the other~!
It's a while before the ship is finally in the air and the mission has officially started- gah, did I mention how EXCITED I am???
I decide to set my tasks aside for later and venture around the ship! It's not long before I spot a familiar pink spacesuit.

"Pink!"

Pink was definitely startled by my loud greeting- but he recognises me soon enough! He lifts up his hand slightly and gives a little wave. Even though I can't see his face through his tinted helmet, well- I basically never see his face because he's always wearing it- I can just tell he's smiling. "Hi Bee." He says warmly— well, warmer than usual at least.
"I had no idea we were in the same group again this mission! Three years in a row- isn't that cool as hell!?" Pink nods his head and replies with a small hum in agreement as I skip along the hallway. "Hey, we've been in the air for a while- we should go introduce ourselves to some of the others!" I beam brightly. Pink just shrugs casually and continues following me.
I guess I'll take that as an okay!

We approach the cafeteria, but no one seems to be here- huh! I guess they've all decided to start their tasks! Very Efficient! But I don't care, I'm ready to meet my new Polus friends!!! :D
"Surely there's some people around!" I say, making my way across the room.

And surely enough, around the corner, near o2, is a girl in a spacesuit with light brown coloured accents, frantically scrolling on her Mira Tablet. She looks hyper-focused on what she is looking at- and stressed.

"Hi!"

Huh- I guess she didn't hear me!
I move a little closer.

"Uh, hello!"
"GAH!"
The girl flinches. Well, actually she more jumped. I think I scared her-

"Oh! You- it's just a person."
She loosens her posture a bit, having been in a strange defence pose.

"Sorry for scaring you! But, we're just saying hello to our fellow cremates!"
I attempt to reassure her with a smile, and it seems to help a bit. She chuckles nervously, her eyes going from me to Pink and back to me. "Well, uh. I'm- I'm Hazel."
"I'm Bianca! Most people call me Bee, though- and this is Pink!" Pink gives a little wave. "Pink doesn't talk as much as I do- and he hates to show his face. Heck, even I haven't seen his face! But, I plan on changing that!" I see pink turn to glare at me from the corner of my eye. I mean, obviously I can't see he's glaring, but I'm pretty sure he is.
"...Pink?" Hazel looks at Pink confused.
"Hi." Pink says. Hazel looks even more confused now, I guess she must not have expected such a deep voice.
"Uh, well, it's nice to meet you both-?" Hazel says. She smiles weakly. She seems really nervous for some reason.
"Um... I can't help but notice you seem a little- tense. Is everything okay?" She seems to get more nervous at me asking.
"Ah- uh, yes, everything is fine. I'm just having- issues with my taskbar- and stuff." She pulls out her Tablet again and taps it a few times.

"I can help."
"GAH-!"

A tall girl in a black spacesuit approaches from behind Hazel, scaring the absolute life out of her. She didn't even sneak up, really. Hazel just must not have been paying attention!
"What is with people sneaking up on me today?!" I only just hear Hazel mumble. She turns to the girl in the black spacesuit, who takes a step closer to Hazel. "Having trouble with your taskbar? I can try help, I'm not too bad with this stuff." She reassures her with a smile. Hazel looks between me, Pink, and the girl. "It-it's fine! Really, don't worry about it. I don't want to cause any trouble..." The girl in the black spacesuit tilts her head. "Are you sure? It's really not a bother at all." Hazel slowly hands the girl her Tablet, and the girl has a look at it for a bit. I chuckle to try and lighten the mood.
"What, are there like viruses or something?"
"Bee." Pink says sternly.
"What? I was just asking-"

"Doesn't seem to be any lag, the coding seems okay." the girl in the black spacesuit says, handing Hazel her Tablet back.

"Oh, uh- okay." Hazel still doesn't sound any less worried. I hope she's okay. Maybe something happened before she boarded! If that's the case I can try and help her out by distracting her!

"Hazel, would you like to stick with Pink and I for a while, we're just having a look around right now!" I say. I'm not getting the vibe that Pink is death-staring me down or anything so I assume he doesn't mind.

Again, Hazel seems to be startled at the mention of her own name. She looks back up at me. "Uh- wh- are you guys... sure you're cool with that...?" I chuckle. "why would I be asking right now if it wasn't, silly! What about you? Wanna come-" When I turn to offer the same thing to the girl in the black spacesuit, she isn't there anymore. Huh! Guess she had tasks to do!

"Oh well- we can always talk to her more later!"
I turn back around and nod at Hazel before skipping down the hall toward a different room.
