"DABI? A NEW LOOK?" Y/n asked as she turned into the alley, him waiting against the wall. Instead of wearing his normal, all black outfit that covered every inch of his body, he was wearing his villain costume, but kept on a mask and sunglasses. He turned to her, his eccentric blue eyes visible through his black tinted lenses. "...We're going out to eat, aren't we? Thought I'd put on something a little...less suspicious." He mumbled, walking past her and down the sidewalk. "Let's go, I'm hungry."
Y/n gasped, her eye turning into a heart. "You got ready for our date!? For me?! How sw-"
"No. Not a date. Just us getting food, rather than standing in a dark alley. Don't get too ahead of yourself." Dabi interrupted as y/n appeared by his side.
She grinned to herself, facing ahead. "...I'll be paying tonight, so get us much food as you want."
"Yeah, I expected you to pay."
"How un-gentleman like!!"
Y/n and Dabi thumbed through the menu, sitting at the bar of the diner. It wasn't a normal diner that anyone could just go to. Like the bar, the diner was buzzing with vigilantes, trouble makers, and thugs, who had scraped up enough money to order some food.
It was a retro American style diner, with jukeboxes, LED light up signs, red booths and chairs, and pop art paintings that filled the wall.
"I'll have the strawberry milkshake and a medium Bobby Burger!" Y/n said to the waitress, the employee writing down her order. Y/n spun in her stool to Dabi. "What about you?" She whispered.
"...Uh...6 Bobby Burger Deluxe meals and 6 vanilla milkshakes...Make em' all to go." He demanded, tossing the lamented menu onto the counter.
Y/n's eyes shot open as the waitress took the menus returning to the back to prepare their meals. "...Are you that hungry?"
"It's not all for me, idiot." He glared at her, taking off his sunglasses and setting them on the counter.
Y/n's head slowly leaned to the side. "...You've got a family?"
"...It's just a group of people I hang around...If I told them I went out to eat, and I didn't bring anything back, they'd throw a fit."
Y/n giggled, setting her elbow on the counter and placing her hand under her chin. "...That's really sweet of you, Dabi."
"I don't like them, if that's what you're assuming."
"You say you don't like me, yet you keep coming to see me."
Dabi turned to her, y/n reaching over and placing her hand on the back of his neck. He tried not to react as he sensed her barrier drop.
I think I'm understanding how her barrier works. The sensation I feel varies each time. Sometimes, it's a heavy, overwhelming feeling, but it only happens when she drops her whole barrier around her entire body.
Other times, it's a light, but piercing feeling. I feel this when only her hands touch me, meaning she must only be releasing the forcefield around her hands, while maintaining a barrier around the rest of her body...
If I tried to kill her earlier without knowing this information...I would've been dead meat.
Y/n pulled in Dabi to her by the neck, leaning her mouth to his ear. "There's a group of thugs eyeing us from the corner of the diner." She muttered softly, staring down at his collar as she spoke.
Goosebumps covered his ear as her warm voice whispered in his ear. His eyes looked up at the window, seeing the gang of men through the reflection. She was right. They were looking right at them.
"...Is it bothering you?" He whispered against her ear, his hoarse voice making y/n jittery with happiness.
"It's not just bothering me...It's pissing me off." She hissed. She then pulled a few inches away from Dabi, her hand shifting down to his collarbone. The space between their faces was still small, y/n's eyes dancing from his eyes down to his lips.
He noticed her lips curl into a smirk. "...Wanna have some fun tonight, Dabi?"
"...Fun?"
"...Go to the bathroom. When you see me leave...come back for me." She winked, patting his shoulder for him to get up.
He glared at her for a moment, examining the way her eye narrowed. He scoffed in understandment, sitting up from his stool. "...I'll be back." He muttered, walking past her and to the restrooms.
When Dabi was certain he was out of view, he leaned against the wall and peered around the corner, watching y/n from afar.
With him gone, the group of 8 thugs got up from their booth, ambling to the now lonely girl at the bar.
...See ya outside, y/n.
"Oi, oi! Aren't ya a pretty one?" One of the men groggled, sitting in the seat next to her.
"Why were you with that patchwork fella? The man looks burnt to a crisp."
"Haha, yeah, let us fuck you up just as much as he's fucked up his skin!"
"You're hair is so pretty. I'd love to tug on it." Another man whispered in her ear, sitting on the other side of her.
"Really?" She perked up and turned to the thug, him taken aback by her enthusiasm.
A pervertish smile spread across his face. "Heck yeah I would."
"Why eat the food here, when we'll fill ya up nice and full?" One of the tallest men coyed, his friends snickering at his smooth remark.
"Kay. Let's go." Y/n jumped up from her stool, walking to the exit.
The men all glanced at each other with confusion, but quickly scrambled together and followed her lead out the diner.
Y/n smirked to herself. Pigs are the dumbest...
but the most fun to kill.
