Maggie's POV

Me and Asahi were almost arriving at school, especially since it was at an eye distance and there were only a few blocks left until we got there. As we made our way there, I felt my heart race for many reasons not only because I was nervous for one of the most important school years but also because of the very high chance that I might encounter someone that I've particularly had my eye on for a while.

Asahi knows about it, but I've had the biggest crush on this boy at our school since like, freshman year. His name is Adam Rossi, and I know everyone says that he's nothing but trouble and that he breaks girl's hearts almost every other day, but I think differently.

I think that nobody really knows what he's like, and those are just rumors, I mean, I've seen the good person he's capable of being, and that's what draws me more to him, more than just the looks people at our school notice him for.

I noticed a slight nudge at my shoulder that knocked me out of my daydream, and when I turned around, I saw Asahi with almost an unreadable expression. He always does it, and I can never tell what he's thinking about, but after knowing him for so long, I guess I've kinda gotten used to it, so its not something that bothers me at all.

"What's wrong? You look like you kinda spaced out for a second," Asahi said while chuckling in a low tone.

"Oh, nothing, I was just thinking about something..." I trailed off and realized we were outside of our school. I know I couldnt lie to him, he knew me too well.

"Adam, huh? You havent told your parents yet about him? I thought you told each other everything," Asahi inquired with a visible frown on his face.

"No, and I'd love to, but my parents can get incredibly nosey sometimes, especially when it comes to a boy, so I'm taking care of this on my own first. I even asked my dad this morning if he would support me liking a boy, and he said there wasn't a chance so, yeah...not planning on letting them know about this one," I explained letting out an exasperated sigh.

As we were reaching the entrance, my gaze suddenly fell on him, and I felt my face start to heat up. I couldnt control my actions, so I just started scrambling in place not knowing what to say next.

I see him reach the popular crowd and give his friends from the soccer team a "bro-hug" and in my eyes, he just looked so perfect. Is there anything this boy couldn't do? He's captain of the soccer team, has perfect grades, amazing looks and personality, and had anything any girl would love in a guy.
