"Let this Gathering commence!" Firestar's voice rang about. "My clan has been thriving, though we have lost one apprentice," He eyed Leopardstar sharply as ThunderClan yowls rang about.

"It was her desicion." Leopardstar said calmly. She then spoke, "Our new apprentice that came willingly is Hollypaw." Excited mews from all the clans (Except ThunderClan) exploded. Hollypaw covered her face with her tail out of embarassment.

The regular things of the clans happened of course, with all the clans usually being stuck up and such. Jaypaw and Lionpaw ran up to Hollypaw, having Jaypaw hiss, "How coudl you!?"

"I only followed my heart." Said Hollypaw stubbornly. Lionpaw didn't even bother and ran off, along with Jaypaw. Hollypaw looked after them, now realizing that her kin were now enemies. But truly, she felt fine with it now that she wouldn't have to deal with the two.

"Agh, they'll get over it." Said Mistyfoot from behind Hollypaw. "Having kin in a different clan will be normal for some." She looked around, somehow longingly.

At RiverClan!

"All cats old enough to swim, please gather beneath Great Oak for a clan meeting!" Leopardstar yowled. Hollypaw and Willowpaw were chatting, but soon got to the Great Oak for the meeting. "As you all know, we have been working hard to stop the Twoleg kits. They have finally left our camp, therefore we are ready to go back home."

Excited meows were all around. Finally! I'll get to experience life as a real RiverClan apprentice! Thought Hollypaw. Leopardstar began issuing orders, having the warriors carry kits and the queens and Leopardstar getting elders.

As they all swam back to RiverClan Territory, a voice rang out in shock. Hollypaw stopped swimming and looked back, noticing a fluffy gray body beginning to sink. Minnowpaw! She thought hurriedly. Swimming down, Hollypaw got the smaller apprentice's neck scruff and began pulling her back to shore.

"Is she alright?" Asked Dawnflower, nudging her kit.

Mothing began to struggle around the crowd, pushing through them. "Alright, let me see her," Mothwing responded, examining Minnowpaw. Mothwing then pushes down her paw onto the fluffy chest of the apprentice, letting water flow out.

Then, Minnowpaw awoke, gently nudging her mother for warmth. "Thank you..." Minnowpaw breathed to Hollypaw, falling asleep.

Hollypaw nodded in graditude, happily thinking about more RiverClan life.
