-alexs pov-
"aaaAAAAAH PLEASE IM SORRY"
I screamed as y/n beat me with her sign because I "wasn't walking fast enough".
"I. want. to. go. home. and. cuddle."
just that one simple statement made a soft heat rise to my cheeks. I was 70 percent sure she meant it in a friendly way, but still. "I'll make a deal with you, I'll walk faster, if we can take a nap, I'm litteraly dead." I said as I collected myself and we neared the exit, "deal" she said with a smile I was convinced would make the stars jelous.

-y/n pov-
I don't know if I meant it in a friendly way. I don't think I did if I'm being fully honest with myself. i know i felt something for alex that was way more than friendship, but i dont know if im fully ready for that to be hoest wiht myself. this isnt some wattpad fanfiction, this could cause a lot of probems. what if i tell him and he doesnt like me? oh god, what if he doesnt want to be friends with me anymore. i cant lose him-"y/n?" 

alex snapped me out of my slight trance, "whats up?" he chuckled lightly at me, "are you gonna start the car? weve kinda just been sitting here, are you feeling okay?" he said as he placed a hand on my forehead, "yeah, im good, i was just lost in thought is all." he gave me sort of an odd look and then just turned his attention to the window.

I felt kinda bad for having alex's visit off to such a rocky start, so I grabbed my phone and opened spotify.

-alexs pov-

I was looking around at texas, concidering I've never been, untill I heard the intro to slow dancing in the dark - joji and turned to y/n. she had the proudest smile on her face.
that's so cute.
I smiled back at her as the word's began to play, and to my surprise, y/n began to sing.

(normal- y/n italics- alex bold- both)

"I don't want a friend, I want my life in two, just one more night~ waiting to get there~"

I decided to join in with her

" waiting for you~ I'm done fighting all night"

we began to sing together

"when I'm around slow dancing in the dark~ don't follow me you'll end up in my arms~ you have made up your mind, I don't need no more signs."

"can you?"

"can you?"

"give me reasons we should be complete~ you should be with him I can't compete~ you looked at me like I was someone else, oh well. can't you see~ I don't wanna slow dance, in the dark~ "

"when you gotta run, just hear my voice in you, shutting me out of you, doing so great~"

"used to be the one, to hold you when you fall, yeah yeah yeah, I don't fuck with your tone, I don't wanna go home. can it be one night~ can you?"

"can you?"

as the song came to a close, y/n started giggling and smiling, "that was fun" she said with a bright smile, "yeah, it was." I said, smiling twice as big.

-y/ns pov-

all the akwardness from the airport had melted away after we sang, and I was on cloud 9. as soon as we got back to nick and i's loft I showed alex around and gave him two guest rooms to chose from. he chose the one closet to mine, "hey y/n, where's nick?" "he's out and about right now, I think he's working on some smp meet up stuff with dream." "oh okay" he said as he started to unpack his bag. we talked almost the whole time he unpacked as if we've never talked before. eventually alex started to yawn from jet lag, "tired duck boy?" I said, poking his side, "yes, very, nap time." he said as he picked me up and carried me to the couch.

he set me down and wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck and tried moving my hands to his hair, only to be blocked by his beanie, "take it off" he said, his voice deep and slow due to the fatigue, "are you sure?" "yes hermosa, go ahead." I lifted his beanie off his head and set it on the back of the couch and started to run my fingers through his dark brown hair, for someone who never shows his hair, it was super soft and seemed very healthy. I smiled, and eventually drifted off to sleep.

-nicks pov-

after ending my phone call with clay, I left the small coffee shop and headed back to my loft, I think Alex had arrived already.

at first I was hesitant about letting him come, but y/n just seemed over the moon about it, and I didn't have it in me to take that from my baby sister. I unlocked the door to be met with Alex and y/n all cuddles up together on the couch.

i scribbled out his face to avoid his hair being exposed to his fans. it was about 10 p.m. now, so I headed up to bed, content in knowing that there was absolutely nobody better for my little sister.
