I had just said goodbye to my parents as they left for the business trip all the way across the world. I went upstairs to my room after dinner and flopped on my bed.

I heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" I said with my face in my pillow.

"Hi." Kei said while walking in.

"Hi." I said while sitting on my bed.

"I missed you." He said quietly.

"What!?" I said with a shocked laugh. "I thought you never felt emotions." I joked.

"Shut up." He said while pushing up his glasses trying not to laugh. "You remember Yamaguchi, right?"

"Oh ya!" I said. I acted like I forgot about him but the thing is.. everyday since I left... I've thought of Tadashi Yamaguchi.

"Well him and I plan to walk to school together. Wanna come along?" He asked.

"Sure." I replied. I seemed normal on the outside but I was actually feeling pretty nervous. I don't know but I'm pretty sure I had a crush on Tadashi when I was younger.

"Okay." He said, then is phone started to vibrate. He took it out of his pocket and checked to see who was calling him. "I'll be right back." He said and left the room.

"Hey Tadashi." I heard him say in the hallway. My heart started to beat faster at his name. I've always wondered what Tadashi looks like now. I know he still has those cute freckles I've always admired.

"Ya. Okay. Bye." I heard Kei say. He walked back in my room and sat on my bed with me.

"I remember you used to have a huge crush on him." He said out of nowhere.

"What the fuck!? Where did that come from!?" I asked with shock.

"You aren't denying it." He smirked while pushing up his glasses.

"Shut up. That is... half true." I admitted.

"Half true? How can something be half true?" He asked with confusion.

"I- I wasn't sure if I liked him." I said.

"You dumbass." He said.

"Excuse me!?" I said, practically screaming.

"Keep your voice down. My mom is trying to sleep." He said.

"At 9:00?" I asked with confusion.

"Ya. She likes to go to bed early because she gets up at around 5:00" Kei replied.

"I could never." I laughed with him.

We continued to chat until it was 10:00 and we snuck downstairs to get some food and watch some t.v in Kei's room until 12:00.

"I'm going to bed now. Goodnight Kei." I hugged him and got up.

"Goodnight." He said and I went in my room. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I did my nightly routine. Finally I went to bed and I was quite excited for tomorrow.

Maybe it was because I get to start fresh at a new school?
No. I don't like meeting new people.

Maybe it was because I like to learn.
Psh. Are you serious? No.

Maybe it was because... I got to see Tadashi Yamaguchi again?
Probably.
