More Than Friends?

Over the next few days, the three of them practically never left each others sides. Dream was getting better and would often check on Sapnap. It felt like nothing could go wrong. Sapnap would get bored easily and would often suggest things for the three of them to do. Todays idea was the fair. Of course Dream and George both agreed, neither of them ever said no to Sapnap.

Once they all got to the fair, it was all laughter and joy. They were having a ton of fun until George wanted to go on the Ferris Wheel. Sapnap had left to get snacks and George didn't want to go alone.

"Dream! Come on, please?" George was pleading with the blonde, trying to get him to go on the ride.

"Why can't you wait for Sapnap to get back?"

"I don't want to! Plus what's the big deal, are you scared of heights or something?"

Dream went silent, which was answer enough.

George looked at him wide eyed. "Wait, seriously? Well, how about this. You go on the Ferris Wheel with me, and I'll make sure you feel safe. Okay? You won't even realise it's happening."

Dream finally surrendered, shaking slightly. George hugged the blonde tightly and the two of them got on the Ferris Wheel. The second it started to go up, Dream squeezed his eyes shut.

"Dream, it's okay, I promise. I'm right here with you, okay?"

Dream tried to listen to his friends voice, but it just wasn't helping. He let out a pathetic sound, almost like a whimper.

George felt bad for making Dream get on the ride and hugged the other boy again. "It's okay, I'm sorry. We're going back down now, just another minute."

The second the words left George's mouth he realised his mistake. The Ferris Wheel goes around multiple times.

Dream felt the ride going up again and his eyes widened. "No please no.."

George moved a bit in his seat so he was facing Dream. "It's okay, just look at me. Don't focus on the ride, just me okay?"

Dream took a deep breath and looked at George. He looked absolutely petrified. So George did the only thing he could think of that would successfully distract the blonde. George leaned forward slightly and kissed him. Dream was shocked but kissed back, pulling away when George did. He hadn't even realised the ride was still going, and by the time he opened his eyes it was their turn to step off.

George felt really bad about making Dream go with him. He wouldn't stop apologising to him. 

"George I told you it's fine, you don't have to keep apologising."

"But you seemed so scared, I shouldn't have made you go." 

"George. Look at me." Dream had stopped walking and waited for George to turn to him. "It's fine, seriously. Now can we go find Sap?" 

George sighed and nodded, and the two boys went off to find their friend.

Once the three of them met up again, they went around the fair for a little while longer until it started to get dark. Dream was driving home, and George had fallen asleep in the backseat. 

"That was fun." Sapnap was holding a giant stuffed blaze that he'd gotten from the fair. Obviously he got the Minecraft one. 

"Yeah, it was." 

The boys got home and Sapnap picked up George, carrying him inside. 

"He's so light." 

Dream laughed and followed them into his room. He didn't have a guest room, so the three of them had all been staying in Dream's bedroom. 

"Are you hungry Sap? We might still have some pizza left over." 

Sapnap set George down on the bed and went over to Dream, shrugging. "Not really. Just kinda tired." 

Dream nodded and hugged the dark haired boy. "You're doing okay, right? You're not hurting yourself anymore?" 

"Yeah, I'm okay. I've been better now that I'm here with you and George." 

"That's good, I'm glad. I can sleep on the couch tonight if you want, you did last night." 

Sapnap, Dream, and George had been taking turns sleeping on the couch. Usually Sapnap would try to talk the other two out of it, but it didn't work very often. 

"No, it's your house. You should be allowed to sleep in your own bed." 

Dream sighed and then grinned, getting an idea. "How about we just fix this for good, yeah?" 

Before Sapnap could respond, Dream had picked him up off the ground. This had both of them laughing, and Dream set the other boy on the bed before sitting down himself. "There, all fixed. Now go to sleep." 

Sapnap laughed and stuck his tongue out at Dream before curling up on his side and falling asleep.
