When Dream finally woke up, he was a bit shocked to find himself curled up against his best friend. George had his arms around the blonde, holding his head onto George's chest. Dream felt oddly safe and comfortable in the position, relaxing and listening to George's breathing.

At some point he must have fallen back asleep, because when he opened his eyes next George was gone. Dream slowly sat up, a bit shocked at how much better he was feeling already. He heard voices outside of his room and slowly walked out, freezing when he saw Sapnap sitting on the couch next to George.

Sapnap saw the blonde and went silent, holding eye contact. George cleared his throat and looked at Dream.

"Sap said he comes by every morning and that he misses you. I let him in."

A few more minutes of silence passed before Dream walked forward, grabbing Sapnap and pulling him into a hug. The two of them held each other for what seemed like forever, not wanting to let go.

"I was so fucking worried! Why wouldn't you text me back?!" Sapnap had tears in his eyes. His expression was a mix of hurt and fear, and Dream felt guilty.

"I'm sorry.. I really am. It's a long story.."

"One that you're going to tell me, right?" A glance at George let Dream know that he had the same question.

Dream sighed and nodded. "Yeah, just sit down first."

Once the three boys were on the couch, Dream started his story.

"Before I basically disappeared, everything had been mostly fine. It's mostly just been stuff with family, but I just didn't have the energy to keep streaming because of it. I know that I scared you and a lot of the others, but I just couldn't. I'd been meaning to let you all know what was happening, but eventually it just got so bad that I couldn't even get out of bed. Before George got here yesterday, I don't think I can remember the last time I ate or showered. I guess all of the stress and anxiety was catching up to me. But it's okay! You two are here now, and I'm getting better. So thank you."

The two other boys had been listening closely, giving Dream pathetic looks.

"Dream you should've said something sooner, it wouldn't have gotten this bad"

Sapnap mumbled the words as he crawled up to the blonde, hugging him tightly. George nodded in agreement with Sapnap and hugged Dream as well. Dream let out a happy sigh and held the two boys against him.

The three of them laid there for a while, George falling asleep. Dream had been idly playing with Sapnap's hair, thinking.

This is normal, right? Feeling like this with my two best friends? Just a normal friendship. Friends cuddle when one of them is upset about something, that's totally normal. So if that's true then why do I feel like this is something else..?

Dream was broken out of his thoughts by Sapnap sitting up. He looked over to the dark haired boy.

"Where are you going?"

Sapnap jumped a bit, looking over at Dream. "Oh, uh, nowhere. Just the bathroom, be right back."

Dream frowned and watched him walk away. He could tell something was wrong. Something about the way Sapnap was adjusting his sleeves and stumbling over his words was so different from the boys usual sassy persona. Dream slowly shifted George off of his chest before following Sapnap.

⚠️ AGAIN, SELF HARM WARNING ⚠️

The bathroom door wasn't locked, and Sapnap was standing in front of the sink. He'd ditched his shirt on the floor behind him and stared at his reflection with tears in his eyes. He'd been so lonely without Dream that he'd done some bad things as a distraction. The dark red lines covered his upper arms and there were even a few on his torso from when he ran out of space. Sometimes when it got too painful he'd drink. Hell he even tried drugs once or twice.

He tried to stop the tears, tried to compose himself enough to go back out to the living room. He didn't notice the bathroom door opening or Dream walking in. Dream saw the cuts and his eyes widened. The blonde stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Sapnap and burying his face in the boys neck.

Sapnap felt arms around him and tensed up, sniffling. "Dream..?"

"Shh.." Dream just held the boy tighter, comforting him.

"I'm sorry.."

"It's okay, I'm here. You're alright." Dream kept comforting Sapnap, and eventually the dark haired boy calmed down.

"You're not mad..?"

Dream shook his head. "No, of course not. How could I be mad at you?"

Sapnap nodded and hugged Dream. The two of them walked back out to the living room, where George was still sound asleep.

Dream couldn't help but smile as he looked at the brunette, remembering that he was lucky to have friends who cared enough to travel so far to see him.

"George said he has to go home in two weeks. What about you?" Dream looked over at Sapnap as he asked the question.

"Not sure. I guess I can stay for a while. Why do you ask?"

Dream just shrugged and stayed silent. He refused to admit that he didn't want the two of them to leave. He needed the company.
