~Flashback~

The rain was pouring down like the saddest part in every story. I had pulled myself maybe fifty feet with blood pouring from where my leg should be the entire way.

I no longer had the strength to keep going so I rolled onto my back and let the rain rush over me.

"There's someone over here!" I man yelled before I saw the barrel of a gun aimed at me.

"Dear god L/n..." A familiar red head muttered as he pushed the other man's gun away.

The next thing I knew I had closed my eyes and when I opened them I was laying in a hospital bed.

"Where..." I started to question where I was when I abruptly got cut off.

"Y/n I'm so glad you're finally awake." My father beemed as he quickly rushed from his chair.

I looked up at the storm clouds slowly floating in as the air began to get an earthy smell.

I tightened my hold on my bag and began to run towards the home of the package.

"C.H. Postal Company!" I yelled as the rain slowly began to fall.

After a few more knocks an elderly woman answered the door.

"Is this Madam Bailey's residence?"

"Such a sweet young lady, that would be me dear." The woman smiled.

"From Enciel to the Republic of Sorbas, if it needs delivered I'm the one to call." I smiled at the elderly woman as I handed her the package.

"There's a bad storm coming in." She warned as the rain slowly began to pick up. "Would you like to come in and wait for it to pass?"

"No thank you Madam I have a boat to Leidenschaftlich to catch."

"Such a hard worker, just like my son Herald."

After the woman wished me safe travels I began to run towards the docks. Slowly the dirt path turned into a thick mud that splashed with every step I took.

Eventually I ran long enough and the rain had begun to settle for now, but when I arrived at the docks I was soaked from head to toe and my boots were caked with mud.

"Last boat to Leidenschaftlich!" A man yelled.

I nodded my head as I caught my breath. I quickly straightened myself out and walked over to the man.

"Ah Corporal L/n, it's been a while."

"Captain Dietfried Bougainvillea."

If I were in uniform I would have saluted him, but since I'm not and I don't like him I wasn't going fo waste my time.

"Your father says he's been requesting for you to come back to work, but from my understanding you are still on medical leave correct?"

"Yes sir."

"You seemed to be running pretty well to me though." He said looking me up and down as if I was lying to him.

"Until we get the materials in for my leg it cant handle the amount of stress the job takes on it with out risk of damaging it and myself." I quickly spoke as I readjusted my bag.

"Very well." He turned away from me and began to walk away. "It's a shame your father doesn't seem to have the motivation to build things anymore while you're out playing mailman."

I bit my tongue to avoid saying anything I'd regret.

I silently boarded the boat and walked to my cabin for the journey back to Leidenschaftlich.
