Star Wars Superhero Script
Title TBD. Costumes, looks, and some names TBD.
Opening sequence.
The Outer Rim. Space. We look up at a planet as the nose of a silhouetted merchant ship eclipses across it. It's a classic Star Wars movie opening shot. The ship passes over the planet until we can see the rear engines. A small silhouette of a caped human can be seen pushing the ship along.
We see a long shot of the ship from the side, with the human barely visible now. In the distance, another ship emerges from hyperspace; it's got the markings of a Jedi shuttle.
Inside the Jedi shuttle. A pilot and his co-pilot sit in the cockpit.
Pilot:
"There it is. That must be the ship that sent out the distress call."
Co-pilot:
"Scanning it now."
Pilot:
"Hang on...is that...is that a guy?"
Co-pilot:
"Huh? Where?"
Pilot (pointing):
"There..."
The Co-pilots monitors begin to beep. He looks down at them, a little shocked.
Co-pilot:
"Uh...That's a person alright. Scanners picked up a healthy crew still on board, but...there's someone outside."
Pilot:
"But he's not wearing any suit. How is that possible?"
Co-pilot:
"Don't ask me. Look at the scanners."
The pilot leans forward in his chair, pressing the comms button.
Pilot:
"Ma'am. You might want to take a look at this."
It's not long before the doors to the cockpit slide open and Jedi Knight VON KARMA stands in the doorway.
Karma:
"What's the matter?"
Pilot:
"Have a look."
Karma walks over to the front viewport.
Karma:
"Is that...?"
Co-pilot:
"Yup."
Karma:
"And he's alive?"
Co-pilot:
"That's what the scanners indicate, yes ma'am."
Karma closes her eyes and extends her hand, almost like she is trying to reach out to him through the force. The pilots look somewhat confused.
Karma (hushed):
"The force...it surrounds him, I can feel it. But he's no Jedi...there's no darkness either."
We see a close up shot of Karma's face as she appears to struggle to understand who's out there. Then, she opens her eyes, and a look of surprise immediately strikes her. We see why she's shocked. The human has appeared in front of the viewport, floating in space, arms crossed, with his cape moving slowly in the absence of gravity.
