Betrayed

Chapter 6

Upon getting Starscream to the medbay Ratchet got to work trying to fix him. Knock Out still couldn't bring himself to use his drill but started helping out in anyway he could. Worried about his best friend.

When suddenly Starscream's optics flash open and the seeker started letting out rapid vents and what sounded like hissing sounds and moving his mouth as if trying to speak.

Both Ratchet and Knock Out could tell Starscream's body had gone into shock and it was no wonder since he had basically just woke up in the middle of surgery.

Knock Out did his best to hold the seeker steady without hurting him. While Ratchet put him back under and continued working to try to save him.

Meanwhile everyone else waited outside the medbay all worried about Starscream. And feeling bad because other then Knock Out none of them had really done anything to make Starscream feel welcome since he had become an Autobot and now he maybe laying on his death bed.

After awhile Knock Out came out and joined them.

"Well he's in recovery now." Knock Out told them. "It was touch and go for awhile but he should make a full recovery but his neckcables were pretty crushed and though it wasn't destroyed we don't know when or if his voice box will heal."

"So there a chance he might be mute?" Asked Smokescreen.

"We won't know till he's had time to recover but the longer it takes his voice to heal the slimer his chances of getting it back." Knock Out explained sadly.

Then they all went back to see Starscream after Ratchet came out and said it was ok.

Upon entering the medbay they found Starscream laying on the berth with a sad look on his faceplates not taking the news of his voice well.

Bumblebee felt for the seeker having gone through the same thing when Megatron had ripped out his voice box.

"Don't worry Starscream we'll do everything we can to fix you." Ratchet promised him.

Starscream looked at all of them and they could tell he wanted to tell them something important but couldn't right now and it was tearing him apart.

Then Starscream suddenly got an idea and before anyone had a chance to stop him he got off the berth and bolted out of the medbay and by the time they got to the main area the seeker had activated the space bridge and motioned for them to follow him before going through it.

They came out in Shockwave's old lab since the cyclops had been arrested awhile back the place was empty. And they saw Starscream waiting for them next to a psychic chronicle patch.

"Starscream are you sure about this?" Knock Out asked his friend understanding what the seeker intended to do with the patch.

Starscream gave them all a nervous look before he nodded to tell them yes.

They all knew how heard this was for Starscream given what his last experience with a patch had been when Megatron used it to go in his head to break him. And since the seeker was willing to have it used on him now it should just how important the information he wanted to tell them was.

Then Starscream nearly collapsed he wasn't fully healed yet and really shouldn't have been on his feet yet. So Ratchet and Knock Out helped him into the berth.

Then they hooked him up to the patch and they chose Knock Out to go in since out of them he was the one Starscream trusted the most. And everyone else would watch from the screen.

Knock Out laid down on the other berth as Ratchet hooked him up.

"Well here goes nothing." He said as Ratchet started the patch and the red mech was sucked into the seeker's mind.

When Knock Out open his optics again he was standing in Vos Starscream's city that had been destroyed during the war.

But since it was intact here other then being empty this was apparently how Starscream remembered it. The seeker had chosen to go to a calming memory to make having to use the patch again easier on himself.

Knock Out and the Autobots who were watching from the screen all had to smile at how pretty it looked with the tall building and view of the sky but what did they expect from a city of flyers?

Then Knock Out found Starscream looking over a ledge at a night sky full of stars with Cybertron's two moons.

"So what did you learn that was so important?" Asked Knock Out.

"I learned why the human government turned on us and what Cyclonus and Scourge are up too." Starscream replied.

Then told Knock Out and the others what he learned.

"So their trying to start a war between Cybertron and Earth?" Knock Out said in shock as the others who were watching them on the screen exchanged glances.

"And General Brice is dead?" He added.

"Yes." Starscream hung his helm they all knew Agent Fowler would take it hard because he had been friends with his boss.

After Starscream finished telling them everything he and Knock Out prepared to leave the seeker's mind.

"And Starscream I promise we'll do everything in our power to restore your voice." Knock Out told his friend.

"I have faith you guys can I mean there was a time once when I thought I'd never fly or transform again but you put my T-cog back in and now I can fly to my spark's content." Starscream answered.

"Well when I'm fully healed." He added with a chuckle.

Then they left Starscream's mind and his friends helped him back to the scrap yard's medbay so he could continue to heal.

Then they all talked with each other trying to think of a way to stop Cyclonus and Scourge and gain back the human government's trust.
