"Dra. May 30 patients pa po sa labas"

Lana said. She's a nurse pero she choose to apply her in my clinic as my assistant. The schedule in our clinic today is pretty loaded maybe because it is July and it happens that two months ago it was the month of Love, February.

"Tapusin na muna natin yung 30 patients bago tayo maglunch break."

Andaming buntis na nagppacheck up ngayon sabagay End of April na rin, halos silang lahat 6-8 weeks pregnant palang.

Yung mga patients na 1st time palang nagpacheck up i always gave them vitamins for their baby and we also do ultrasound and i also gave them a printed copy so that they can see how small their baby is.

Last patient nalang and then finally Lana and I can eat lunch, I think i'll be dead because of hunger, its already 1:30 pm late lunch na.

Hindi pala 30 patients yung na check upan ko ngayon, umuwi na muna siguro yung iba, nagutom. Pagkatapos ko dun sa last patient tinawag ko na si Lana para makakain na kami at para mailagay niya na rin yung "Late lunch break comeback before 3pm" sa pinto ng clinic.

"Lana let's eat lunch na, gutom na ako grabe! Andaming jontis ngayon girl!" Sabi ko sakanya, where literally friends we've been working together ever since I opened my clinic and that's 3 years ago.

"Oo nga doc, alam mo naman valentines day last month! Alam mo na ang galawan ng mag-jowa at mag-asawa sis!" Pareho kaming Tumawa sa sinabi niya kase totoo naman yung sinabi niya, every March or April dumadami mga jontis eh.

"Tara na Adi, KFC tayo wala ka naman din dalang food ngayon diba?" Lana said.

I just nodded. Tapos kinuha ko yung wallet ko. Bago kami umalis sa clinic kinabit muna ni Lana yung sign na "Late lunch break comeback before 3pm" sa pinto pagkatapos nilock niya na yung pinto clinic.

Pumunta lang kami ng KFC tapos doon nalang din kami kumain. Pagkatapos namin kumain, nagpahinga muna kami at nagkwentuhan at nag-aya pa pumunta ng convenience store si Lana para daw snacks namin mamaya pag walang mga patients. Minsan kase walang patients for 20 mins straight kaya nakakain kami ng snacks.

After that bumalik na kami sa clinic, naghintay lang kami ng patients tapos pag may dadating ccheck-up an. Pag ccheckupan yung patients its either iuultrasound, bibigyan ng vitamins or both kase first time palang magpacheck up tapos konting discussion with the patients, ganon lang and then babalik ulit sila everymonth or sometimes every 2 weeks kapag maarte magbuntis ang isang patiente.

6:40 pm na sana wala ng dumating na patients, late na rin gusto ko na umuwi before 8 pm.

Habang wala pang patient nag basa muna ako ng libro.

Habang nagbabasa ako, biglang kumatok si Lana

"Dra. may patient, new patient po siya doc. " inabot niya saken yung index card na nagsisilbing record nung Patient tapos bumalik na si Lana sa labas.

"Arabella T. San Miguel F, 27 yrs old" pagbasa ko sa nakasulat sa papel.

That surname reminded me of someone, someone that I have always loved, Before.

The patient slowly walks inside the room, she have a long shiny black hair, and she's very beautiful.

I stand up to assist her, baka kase madulas siya medyo malaki narin kasi yung tyan niya.

"No one's going with you ma'am?" Tanong ko

"Someone's with me Dra he's just parking the car." she smiled after she said that.

Tinulungan ko siyang umupo para tanongin ng kung ano-ano about her preganancy. Kase medyo malaki nadin yung tyan niya, buti nagpalit pa siya ng obgyn.

"Sino po yung obgyn niyo before?"

"Si Dra. Valencie po Dra." She replied

"Oh! Dra Valencia is my friend, bakit nagpalit ka ng OB?" Tanong ko habang hinahanap yung heartbeat ng baby niya

"Someone told me that your the best & most popular obgyn in town dra!" And then she winked at me.

And after that I just smiled at her, for me I'm not the best ob-gyn. Im just known because i was popular before.

"Ayan na yung heartbeat ng baby mo oh!" i softly said. Babies heartbeat makes me calm, its like a music to my ears.

She smiled it looks like she's close to crying.

While we are listening to her babys heartbeat. Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in." I said.

A man who is wearing a plain white v-neck polo shirt and a faded blue jeans walks in. He's also fixing his watch while walking towards us.

I was shocked when I saw the man, so this pregnant womans husband is him.

Kung nanaginip ako ngayon, gosh please pakigising ako, i didint expect this to happen, oh God help me.

"You're here na pala, can you hear his heartbeat?" Arabella said nearly tearing up

"Yeah, I can't find a parking space." the man simply said.

I didn't expect that my ex-lovers wife will be one of my patients this is so awkward.

All I did after the ultrasound and checking the heartbeat of the baby is give her advice what should she or shouldn't do during her pregnancy, since she is due in 6 weeks,

Bago sila lumabas ng clinic the woman, Mrs. San Miguel said thank you. And the he, the man who was once the love of my life told me..

"Its good, seeing you like this Ezri." he said that with a smile in his face before he left.

I was left here shocked, I didn't have a chance to say a word because he already left. How can he casually say that? Oh I remembered he has a wife now, and I'm still here at the place where I ended it with him. How I wish I can turn back time, not to change my decision, but to have a moment with him again.

Thinking like this is wrong, that man has a wife now ADIRA. I said to myself.

I tried to distract my self by reading a book again..

but, shadows of the past kept on popping on my head.

I still remember the first time we met & every first time i did with him.

We met when I'm sixteen and he is seventeen that time.

High school, 9th grade that's where it all started....

What if we didn't bump into each other that time?

Will we still end up like this?

His wife as my patient, and me, the doctor of his wife.
