chapter viii.
"So, how've you been?" The man asked, his hands shoved into his pockets. The tension was thick, everyone could feel it. Kat didn't know how to respond to his question. She hadn't exactly been terrible, but she hadn't been the greatest either. It had been 6 months since they broke up, and this was the most they'd seen one another since then. She didn't feel the overwhelming sadness and crushing feeling of missing him all the time, but she still felt weird about everything— to put it simply.
"I've been okay," she answered. "What about you?" Everyone around them stared as this went down, almost scared to move or interject.
He hesitated, "I... have also been okay, yeah," he wasn't completely lying. But he wasn't being completely truthful either. "So you're playing Remington?" He asked, changing the subject.
She nodded, a small smile forming. "Yeah, I am."
"Are you excited?" Jordan asked, taking in her appearance. She looked pretty much the same, but yet still a little different. Maybe the different part was coming from her not being by his side, in his arms. Maybe she had done something different with her hair or makeup that he couldn't quite figure out, he didn't know. He just couldn't believe he was laying eyes on her again and talking to her again.
"Of course I am, I always dreamed of being on the show before—" she stopped herself from finishing her sentence. "Before, yeah."
Jordan sucked his lips in, tensing up slightly as he realized what she meant. God, he'd give anything to go back to that. Just to relive their love story, and to prevent them from ending. But he couldn't, and it killed him.
Within seconds, Charles walked over. "Hey, Kat. Sorry to interrupt, but Robert and some other producers need to go over some things with you then show you hair and makeup and costume stuff." He explained.
She nodded, "okay, thank you Charles," she turned to Jordan as Charles walked away. "So... see you later?"
Jordan smiled softly, "yeah, see you later."

After a little over an hour, she was in costume and her hair and makeup was ready and she was about to film her first scene. She got ready on the set, sitting on the motorcycle off to the side of the Sunnyside Trailer park set.
Touch ups were being done, and before she knew it, Robert was yelling, "Action!"
Jordan and Drew were saying their lines and acting out their part of the scene. It was the ending scene of the episode, which would be Remi's surprise introduction. Kat's que to take off went, she drove into frame and hit the brakes to do a cool stop next to the other three. They— whilst in character, of course— stopped talking and stared at her as she took off the motorcycle helmet.
She looked at them all, a sly smirk on her face, "Sup boys,"
"Remi?" Drew said, his jaw dropping.
After that, Robert called out, "Cut! Great job guys, that was perfect."
