The feeling of solitary was foreign for him. For years he has had him by his side, fighting alongside and being his partner in crime, and when he left, the world became empty. Just a rock floating in space, and he was merely one of the millions that lived in it.

Might seem dramatic, but that's what he felt.

He closed the blinds, hating how the sun shone through the gaps and blinding his eyes. The coffee on the table was already cold, he picked it up and poured the remnants in the sink, the brown liquid slashing in the tub, staining his white button-up.

Tokyo was boring without him. He was busy though, his schedule filled to the brim with practices, trainings. He often found himself staggering back to his one-man apartment late at night, body sore from all the brutal training set by his coach.

He missed the familiar smell of rice cooking in the kitchen, the sound of soft fire sizzling on the stove as it warmed up their house. The shower that went on forever as he tapped his foot impatiently against the door, waiting for the person inside to get out.

Deciding it was late enough to sulk in his bed, he went back into his room and flopped on the bed, picking up the volleyball that was on the floor while setting it as he laid on the soft mattress.

The ball went up, then back down, the leather touching his fingertips as he pushed the ball back up. It was too high, the ball hit the ceiling, reflecting at a weird angle as it bounced away from its trajectory and bounced on the ground.

Atsumu let out a small sigh. The apartment was too quiet, so quiet that he could hear ringing.

He didn't like it.

A part of him regretted moving to Tokyo, leaving his life behind and chasing his dreams. It was awesome at first, meeting new friends that share the same passion with him and playing volleyball when the sun rises up and wrapping up practice when the sky falls into a deep blue.

It wasn't until he bluttered out "I'm home, Samu." that he realized he is now alone. More so than ever. Despite the constant companionship of his teammates, his twin brother wasn't by his side.

He broke down in tears that night, fumbling with his phone as he punched in the numbers he knew by heart, and only sighing in relief when he heard Osamu's familiar voice.

It's been almost a year since he moved and to be honest, he still hasn't gotten used to not having Osamu around. They have been inseparable since birth, and the first time they ever went a day without seeing each other was during the National Youth Training Camp, but Atsumu was having too much fun to realize the loneliness stirring in his heart.

He checked the clock on the wall, 21:18. It was way too early for sleep anyway, considering he usually sleeps sometime between 2-4 A.M.

It was too late for dinner and too early for sleep. There wasn't anything interesting on the television either, it was either food channels that are going to make him hungry or random documentaries that would scare him enough to chase away sleep for the rest of the week.

Atsumu flipped onto his side and grabbed his phone, one single message appearing on the screen.

Messages
From: Uglier Me
I delivered something to your place. It should arrive soon. Lemme know when you receive it.

He frowned, not understanding why his brother sent the text. If he ordered something online, why not just have it sent to his house? But replied with a "Fine, fuck you you lazy ass" and a poop emoji.

It wasn't long before his doorbell rang, causing him to leap out of bed, almost falling on his face as he tripped over the volleyball on the floor. He managed to make it to the door and a delivery man holding a parcel welcomed him.

"Is this Miya Atsumu?"

"Yes."

"Oh okay. Sign here, and here." Atsumu followed and thanked the man who delivered his parcel at night. He set the parcel on the dining table as he grabbed a ruler lying around, cut open the cardbox and took out the container inside.

His eyes welled with tears as he saw the glass tupperware box. His stomach growled as he ran back in his room and grabbed his phone, snapping a picture of the package and sending it to his brother with a long string of unnecessary emojis.

There was a yellow sticky note stuck on the cover, just like how their mother used to prepare their bento boxes. He peeled it off, finding it hard to contain his smile that was blooming on his lips.

Oi dumbass. I missed you. Here are some tuna onigiris. Don't eat them all in one go. Love you bro.

He opened the tupperware, the snap echoing in the small apartment. Atsumu took one out and gently bit down on the tip, the rice almost melting in his mouth as he quickly took another bite.

And for that moment, he didn't feel that alone anymore.
