I suddenly feel weightless. I can't talk. My heart is beating far too fast. I'm frozen in the light blue color shining from his eyes.

"Uhh..h-h-hello...." I manage to get out.

They all smile at me and wave. My mom gives me a "if you screw this up I'm going to kill you" look. I can't blame her. Nicest neighbors we've had so far.

I walk down the stairs awkwardly and my mom has already showed them where the dining room is. I walk in and see every seat is taken. Except one. Blond hair, blue eyes, braces, a perfect smile, and a perfect body is staring back at me. I'm sitting beside him. What's his name? I don't remember. James, I think.

I walk over to the chair and sit down. I'm blushing like crazy but I manage not to smile like an idiot.

"Someone has a crush," the girl on the other side of me whispers, winking. "Don't worry about it. I won't tell. He's my twin brother. I'm Tori and he's James. We don't look alike at all."

I look at her. Brunette, green eyes, tan, a marvelous body I wish I had.

"I'm Alyana. Nice to meet you." I say basking in her glorious glow that somehow makes me want to come closer to her.

"How old are you anyways? Thirteen?" She asks with a bad girl voice.

"Fourteen. I know, I'm awkward and look like a child."

"You do not look awkward, I can tell you that right now," she says with a smirk.

What just happened? Did she just flirt with me? And did I like it?

"Thanks," I say. "How old are you?"

"Fifteen."

"Cool!"

"I guess."

My mom brings out the food and we all start eating. Steak, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and corn. The aroma of all these foods mixing together makes the perfect harmony in the air.

Soon we are all done eating and Tori looks me over again. Head to toe. Why am I aching to talk to her? Is this what it feels like when you want a best friend? Maybe. I approach her.

"Hey, why don't you give me a tour of your house?" She asks.

"Of course, come on." I say.

"James! Why don't you come along, dork?" She yells to James.

He smiles at me and starts to walk over. My heart starts beating fast and I'm surprised Tori can't hear the sound coming from my chest. I suddenly realize just how close I am to Tori. One little movement and I'd be touching her. Suddenly I can't breathe. I've never been so close to anyone.

"Come on! Show us around," she whispers bringing me out of my trance and back into reality.

I walk up the stairs. Should I show them my room? I feel someone's hand brush against mine. I pick up my step and open the door to my room.

"This is my room. Its kind of messy but yeah..." I trail off.

"Cool, so if we're going to be friends or whatever like you want, I'll be sleeping in here too?" Tori says gently.

"If you'd like," I say.

James comes over to where Tori is and whispers something in her ear. Tori nods her head and whispers something back.

"I'll be downstairs. I need to ask my parents something," she says and smiles at James.

I give her a confused look and she winks at me. She turns and walks out of the room. I suddenly realized what just happened. James and I are alone.
