CHAPTER 1
I walked to school, accompanied by my older brother, Seunghun, and his best friend, Choi Hyunsuk. They’re not in high school but Seunghun walks me to school whenever he can and Hyunsuk just tags along sometimes. I walked in between the two, looking down at my feet the whole way. Hyunsuk and I don’t talk much, but he’s nice, I guess.
We arrived at the front of my school and I hugged Seunghun goodbye and sent Hyunsuk an awkward wave as I walked into the school. I was just in time for the morning rush when everyone was making their way to their first classes.
Looking through the crowd, I could see my best friend, Choa. I snuck up behind her and put my arm around her shoulder, causing her elbow to instinctively jab into my stomach. I shrieked in pain and Choa turned around to look at me. When she saw me, leaned over clutching my stomach, she exclaimed,
“Seunghee-ah! I’m sorry, I-I didn’t know it was you!”
“It’s fine,” I gasped. “I’ll warn you next time.”
I stood up straight and linked arms with her and we headed to our first class.

Choa and I found each other naturally at lunchtime and ordered our food, sitting on the stairs to eat.
“Who’s that guy that always walks you to school?” Choa asked.
“My brother?”
“No, no, I know Seunghun, but who’s the other guy?” She nudged my arm.
“Oh, Hyunsuk?” I took a bite of my sandwich. “He’s Seunghun’s best friend.”
“You should introduce me to him.”
I almost choked.
“Um, why?” I laughed.
“Because he’s so cute!” She fawned. “Wait, do you like him? If you like him, I will stay away. You met him first-”
“Cho, it’s fine. I’ll introduce you to him if you really want.”
“You will?” She held onto my arm and I shook her off.
“Yes, but if he doesn’t like you back it’s not my fault.”
”Thank you Seunghee!!”
“Eat your lunch.”
We finished our food and then headed off to our separate classes. On the way, I texted Seunghun.
Me
Can you give me Hyunsuk’s phone number?
Seunghun
why?
do you have a crush on him lol
Me
what no
but my friend does
I want to set up a blind date for her
pls
Seunghun
Ok fine
He sent me Hyunsuk’s phone number and I continued on my day.

The last bell rang and shortly after I got a text from Seunghun.
Seunghun
I can’t walk you home today, do you want me to ask Hyunsuk if he can?
Me
It’s fine, I can walk myself
I don’t want to bother him
Seunghun
Are you okay walking alone?
Me
Trust me i’m fine
