My feet drag along the ground as I exit the airport terminal, my luggage rolling bumpily behind me since one of the wheels isn't attached quite right. I wish I could just already be in Vancouver but instead, I'm in another busy airport, to get on another stuffy plane. Normally I quite enjoy flying, seeing the cities below me pass by, but I've been up since four am, and I wish nothing more than to be in Charlie's apartment, napping.
Charlie Gillespie and I go way back; and by way back I mean three years, so not that way back. We met working on the set of 'Speed Kills'. I was just a reoccurring extra and he actually had a roll but we ate lunch together one day because he bumped into me spilling my food everywhere and he felt bad. Both of us being Canadian we said 'sorry' at the same time, even though I really had nothing to apologize for. After that, we met again when I was waiting to get into my agent's office for a meeting and he came out as I was going in. He referred to me as 'lunch spillage' and the rest is history... AKA we've been friends since then and now I'll be staying with him for about a month while I make an appearance on season two of Julie and the Phantoms.
My role is a ghost love interest for Luke, which causes some issues with him and Julie. I have to admit, I'm not proud to be the bad guy who splits up Julie and Luke, but my character is only there for a few episodes, and then Juke is back full speed ahead. It's written really well though, because while me and Luke have a thing, Julie is all tied up with dealing with Nick who is actually possessed by Caleb. And it's not like my character is unlikeable either, she's actually written to be really sweet, and she departs from the show after completing her "unfinished business".
I scoop up my luggage off the baggage carousel as my flight is being called to begin boarding. I quit dragging my feet and rush to get my luggage on in time, I checked it online so now I just need to drop it off. Once I hand off my bags I run across the airport, my carry-on practically flying off the ground as I run. I clumsily hand my boarding pass to the gate agent and step onto my connecting flight, the second and final flight to Vancouver.
Once I sit down, I put on my headphones, blocking out all and any noise that comes from around me. Just three hours more and I'll be getting into Charlie's rental car in Vancouver.

My eyes shoot open as I'm awakened by both my ears popping as the plane gently hits the ground. I clench my jaw waiting for the pain to pass, while also being thankful we've landed.
I let out a deep breath as I step into Vancouver International Airport. Freaking finally. I wait quietly by the baggage claim to try and spot my luggage. I always make sure to mark it with duct tape so I can clearly see it's mine. As I'm waiting, my phone starts buzzing and at first, I'm too tired to answer it, until I see it's Charlie.
"Hey! You just landed right?" Charlie asks as soon as I answer. Hearing his voice sends serotonin coursing through my body. I haven't seen him since he left a few months ago, and I know he's just as excited to see me as I am him, because he wouldn't stop texting me the past couple days.
"Yeah, I'm just waiting for my lugg- found it." I quickly grab my duct tape-marked bags with my free arm, "Where are you?"
"I'm parked right by the doors." He replies happily.
"That's specific." I say sarcastically, "What doors?"
"I don't know! The one's that open!" He chuckles, clearly having no clue how to explain where he is.
I sigh, "I'll find you. See you in a minute."
"Can't wait. Bye." The call ends and I let out one more deep breath before attempting to carry all my bags at once.
It's just my luck that the first exit I try Charlie is nowhere to be found. I make my way to the second exit I can find and a smile spreads across my face. Leaning up against a small car is my favourite shaggy-haired boy. He looks up a moment after I spot him and he practically yelps when he sees me. He runs over and wraps his arms tightly around me in a hug.
