Natalia's Pov
I walk Roman out of the old warehouse. His body is dripping with sweat. Not going to lie, the way those tux pants fit on his body with no shirt is breathtaking. You idiot, he was being tortured, swoon any time over him but now. Nope, I cannot be thinking like that. I wonder what he's thinking right now. I hate this situation. I hate it. But, this is what I signed up for. I took a vow after all.
I get in my beautiful, black Ferrari. I swear if cars could actually be considered as legal children this one would be mine. We pull out of the warehouse, and the tension eases up a bit. Its still pretty awkward. I might as well break the silence.
I say, "Roman, about what happened at the club. I was drunk, and I wasn't filtering through my thoughts, I apologize. But we can't be in any relationship that isn't professional. You know that."
He looks out the window for a minute. He looks as if he is going to say something but holds himself back. He just gives me a simple "yeah."
I say, "But the question is, why did you not escape. We both know damn well that you could have been out of there at the drop of a pen."
"I just didn't feel like it." He says.
He obviously does not want to talk about it. But he can't just go walk onto a street all of a sudden. I need a consistent team with everything in check.
I decide not to bother him any longer. It's been a long day.
We don't talk anymore on the way home. As soon as we're at the house, I go in and don't say another word. Aya and Roman catch up.
Today could probably make the list of one of the worst days of my life.
That's optimistic.
