I get off of the jet, and walk to the black range rover. I put my duffel bag in the back and ride shotgun. Roman and Aya sit beside each other in the back. Tomas has texted me the coordinates for the base. Since were in Spain, we have to go military version off the grid. In the mafia world, they call papa "Diablo oscuro" (dark devil). I cannot risk blowing cover of what were doing, if we do, we might as well just go ahead and dig our graves a head of time.
It's about a 45 minute drive to the base, my head hurts and I'm hungry. About twenty minutes in, I can't stand it, I need sustenance. So, I ask the driver to turn into McDonalds. I get a big mac, girls got to wat of course. And I get two small cheeseburgers with two coca colas. I asked Aya and Roman if they wanted anything, they said no. The driver got a burger. I think everyone was astonished about how much I eat.
We get to the base. It's perfect. It's a small mansion, Victorian style. It looks like an elderly couple would live here. I see men and women coming in and out of the house carrying weapons and the sorts. Damn Tomas works fast. He only got in Spain a week ago. We get out of the vehicle and take in the scene. Tomas comes out of the mansion and greets us. He tells us where the meeting room, gym, artillery and safehouse is.
I am so tired, I tell everyone I'm going to bed. It's only a two story building, I take the stairs to the second floor, and pick a room. They all look the same.
After about thirty minutes, I hear a knock on the door. Roman comes in, he lays down beside me. I tell him I think I may have a cold. He says, "I wouldn't doubt you'd be sick after all you ate." I lean over him and say, "Never comment about what a woman eats." I laugh, and he laughs and says, "fair enough."
"You better leave before you get sick."
"Nah, I think I can handle it, love." he says.
I lay my head on his chest, and focus on his breathing. I listen to his heart beep, I make patters on his chest with my fingers.
I whisper, "are you ready for this?"
He replies, "yes this has to happen."
He's right, it does.
A/N:
Ohhhh things are progressing.
Goodness I'm so tired it's one in the freaking morning.
