3 months later.
London, England.
I grab my gun, and hide small knives throughout my outfit. If there's anything I've learned from my unique job, it's never go unarmed. I pack my duffle bag. I put a two weeks worth supply of food if anything goes south, four guns, and a machete. I open my bedroom door, walk out and close it.
I lean my forehead against the door, close my eyes, and draw out a deep sigh. Roman heard me. He doesn't say anything, he just stares for a second and walks off to the elevator without saying a word.
I wish I could talk to mama about Roman. She would tell me the right thing to do. She seemed to always know right from wrong.
I put on my aviator sunglasses and ball cap, and go downstairs.
I'm met by Aya in the lobby dressed in similar attire to mine. Roman stays as far away from me as he can, I don't blame him. I honestly can't believe he's still doing this, I guess it's to make sure Aya is safe. He's wearing a black hoodie, grey sweatpants, sunglasses and a ball cap. If I could, I swear I would be all over him.
Tomas is already in Spain, setting up our base. Tomas and I have a long history, that runs deep. We never really talk to each other, we don't have too, we just understand. That's the great thing about him.
11:00 PM, time to go.
We walk outside and board the jet. It's black of course, if you haven't caught on to that color scheme.
Aya sits in the front, close to the cockpit. Roman sits in a seat that faces the back of the plane. I sit facing directly him. I get my bags situated in the seat beside me. He does the same.
I look around, and ask the flight attendant for a tequila. Roman gets beer. I settle down, I switch from reading, looking at my phone and just staring out the window.
About two hours in I wake up. I look at my phone, it reads 1:00 AM. One more hour to go. I look up, to see Roman staring out the window.
I ask, "Have you slept yet?"
"No" he says.
I look to the front of the plane to see if Aya is awake, she's not. That woman can sleep through anything if she wants too. Me, I'm haunted. Plagued by the shadows.
I think for a minute, about Roman, might as well come out with the full truth, it's stupid to act like nothing happened. Hell, the only way I'll leave Spain is in a casket. If I'm lucky enough. But, no one has to know that of course.
"Roman, remember when we met?" I ask.
He says, "Yes, we were in Spain, Aya and I were completing a mission. But she brought you along, and didn't tell me." A humorous tone finds itself into his voice.
I say, "Yeah, it was one of my first. We were taking out a sex trafficking group. And, a man came after me, I didn't see him. But, right before he could reach me, you killed him."
He grins and looks down, "Yeah."
"Why are you bringing this up?" He asks. How on earth do I say this. I don't. I write it.
"Just a second." I say.
I find a piece of paper and start writing.
Roman,
If there is anything I have learned from my life, it is no matter my condition I will always protect what truly matters. And, I applied that to you. You, Roman James, matter. However in order for you to remain, safe I had to give you up. Recently I've found that it only leads to more shit. I don't know where you and I will lead to. I have to do this though. I mean, destroy my father's mafia. Every last guilty one. You know that, and so do I. But, I can't not pretend like you do not exist. So, if you'd be up for it, after this whole mafia deal is over, I want to see where this goes.

I pass the note to him, and try to relax my body.
He carefully studies it.
Then, he looks at me and says, "Ok." In a very soft tone, almost like a whisper.
I say ok back.I look at my phone again, its 2 AM. The plane lands. Ok, don't be nervous not like this is your life's mission or anything. Though I am nervous I have to pretend like I'm not. What have I got to loose? Roman and I are on good terms. I, Tomas and Aya are alright. I'm no longer apart of the mafia.
I am Natalia Perez, nothing more, nothing less.
I get off of the jet.
