Krystal's Point Of View

It was the funeral of each FBI member whom sacrificed themselves.

I clenched my fist tightly, I never knew all of them personally, since I am the anti social anyway. But from every speech their family and friends made me know how kind, loving, brave and sweet they are.

A newbie's mother also told a heart throbbing speech how she would miss him but be proud of him at the same time. A lot of people shed tears by that time. Even I felt a lump in my throat.

Finally, the coffins were lowered and the sounds of wails increased. I felt my heart beat faster, I hated ceremonies like this, they make me really uncomfortable. I trembled a little when I heard a woman screaming for her son.

"Are you okay?" Hayden whispered next to me, he was entirely calm during the ceremony and kept a straight face, I kind of envied him for that.

I sighed, "not really, I dislike ceremonies like this." I admitted.

"I can understand why, but hold on for a little while okay? Its about be over." He whispered back and kept his hands behind his back. I sighed a little and forced myself to look at the families.

After the ceremony, the princes went to the airport to fly back to their own countries. I caught a cab and went back to the FBI. My colleagues greeted me with a nod, guess they were sympathetic for the hell I've been through.

I flipped through the files stacked up on my table, I had a really packed schedule next week, I had to meet up with the princes to go to the court. For this week, I had only practice unless any emergency came up.

As I was going to the stairs, the siren suddenly started ringing. I sighed in frustration, looks like there was always an emergency when I came back.

My pager beeped and I ran to the place I was assigned to, Room 517. I pushed the door open, only to be met with George and Max. They held stern looks on their faces, when they turned around to face me, I saw a man sitting leisurely on the chair. He smirked at me when George told me to sit down.

"This man here, Luke, claimed that he knows about the murder of Wickle's child." Max explained, handing me a file. Skimming through the words, Lisa and Henry Wickle's daughter, Mandy whom was eight years old by that time was killed in a school trip. Her body was dumped into the waterfall and was found yesterday. The killer has not been found.

"Yes and what details do you know?" I sighed, I knew Luke only wanted the money for giving tips judging by his face.

"His father had another woman called Alyssa Mija." He responded lazily and slide a photo to me. The girl is really beautiful, even I'll admit it.

"And Lisa knew about it, they had a big fight because of it. Both of them wanted Mandy to stay with them," he said with a confident smile, sliding me a recorder.

"And you're suggesting one of them or this Alyssa girl killed her?" I said folding my arms.

"Half wrong. This Alyssa girl didn't want Mandy because she thought the daughter might only bring trouble for her. Her pre-school teacher even said Mandy complained to her that Alyssa was abusing her." He sided the recorder over and pictures of Mandy's abused body.

I stared at it. Just like me when I was younger. I bit my lip, I couldn't let my personal feelings get in the way of work.

"Is that all?" Max asked as he stared at me. I shook my head saying that it was nothing important.

"Yes, thank you," he smiled and both Max and George stood up thanking him. The more I stared at the photos, more memories came flooding in.

Flashback

"How dare you steal food, you little brat!" The keeper slapped my face hard. I felt tears streaming down my face, I haven't had food for three days, and when I stole a piece of bread, she started screaming and yelling at me.

"I-I-I'm s-s-s-o-rry..." I said weakly as she continued kicking and pinching me.

"You want water don't you? I'll give it to you, you worthless thing!'" She spat out coldly. The next moment, I felt steaming hot water being poured down my back. I screamed as hard I can from the pain while she laughed at me.

End Of Flashback

I blinked slightly, I had a lot of scars on my body, some of them from missions and training but most of them from the horrible woman. I reached for the scar on my back, it didn't hurt anymore, but I can still feel the hot water being poured down my back.

"Are you okay, you spaced out just now, it isn't like you." Max asked me worriedly.

"I'm fine, sorry for worrying you," I forced a smile at him but he look suspicious, he left me alone in the room anyway, that's what I like of Max, he isn't nosy like everyone else.

I pushed myself from the chair and head back to the training room, my ultimate favourite place in the world.

"It's nice seeing you here," my trainer, Gemma smiled at me warmly. She was about thirty years old and retired from FBI, but she was an experienced sniper so she became a trainer instead.

"I need some time for myself," I smiled at her apologetically, she nodded in understanding. When I told her that once, she had an empty room just for me, I felt guilty for asking that of her, but this was something important.

Picking up the gun, I imagined the target as the horrible woman. I fired until it was out of bullets, I put down the gun in satisfaction.

It hit the center every single time.

Hayden's Point Of View

I stepped out of the airport, Loyd had already informed me that I will taking another route leading to the car because there was paparazzi all over the airport.

I slid into the limo and the car sped away, I can't help but wonder how Krystal is doing. Sure, we have the meeting next week, but should I call her and talk about the lawyers and stuff?

I scroll over my contact's list and clicked into Krystal's name, it rang several times until she picked up.

"Hayden, what are you calling me for?" She sounds irritated as usual, but her voice seems softer than usual.

"I'm just calling you about our lawyers, which lawyer should we use?" I asked, getting straight to the topic.

"It's up to you, it doesn't matter really, we have all the evidence we need, just get a lawyer that can actually talk," she says with a laugh.

"Hey, that's mean," I said but I laughed along with her.

"Sure, what are you doing now, anyway?" She asked curiously.

"I'm heading back to the palace, how about you?"

"Me? I've just finished ripping somebody's head off."

I stayed silent, I didn't know how to react to her words.

"Kidding, I am in the boxing arena," she said half-heartily.

"Is any paparazzi chasing after you right now?" I asked.

"No, unless you count the FBI rookies trying to take a photo."

"Good, then I'll see you next week?"

"Sure, bye." Then, we both hung up.

Yo! I'm free from my exams already, although I know I'll be failing at least one of my papers (oops), anyway, the plot will be focusing on Krystal's past and the romance.I'm kind of hesitant writing the romance because it will be hard making a cold heart Krystal fall in love with Hayden @.@. Will probably throw in some plot twist or two so get ready, just because the bad guys got caught doesn't means it will end quickly!
