Chresanto: here's the thing I'm gonna go to the court and see if I can get this thing changed. I just need a little more time

???: I'm sorry Chresanto, but you've stayed your welcome

Chresanto: it's harder than it looks. Just until the end of this week

???: I really shouldn't give in so easily, but okay I'll let you stay for a couple more days

Chresanto: oh thank you so much. You don't know how much this means to me

???: doesn't matter now there's a list of things I want done today. I'm sure you'd get them done before I come home from work

Chresanto: yes sir I will

???: oh and here's the money for the grocery shopping

Chresanto: alright

???: you've always been such a lad since you first came. I would love to offer you a real job, but yeah. But enough of that, I'll see you later

It took Chresanto a while to finish his tasks for the day, but he eventually did them. He went into the kitchen to call Jacob and start dinner for him and the kind sir.

Hii. You've reached Jacob. Please leave a message and your number and I'll most certainly call back when I can.

Chresanto: Hii uhh Jacob. I was calling to see if you were available tomorrow night. Well I guess I'll wait for your call. Love you. Bye now

Chresanto went into the bedroom and looked at his pictures from Valentine's day and smiled. He made dinner, ate, fed the man, and went to bed early. He began to dream.

Dream state

Chresanto: will you marry me?

Jacob: as much as I want to, it's like your legally dead and that means I'll be marrying a dead man

Chresanto: but I love you. I always have

Jacob: well that's not what happened years ago with her

Chresanto: she's out the picture. She's not even supposed to be spoken of anymore. The only thing I like is that she carried my child and brought it into the world

Jacob: kinda like a surrogate mother. But how can we be married when you're dead?

Chresanto: legally

Jacob: Chres where are you?

Chresanto: I'm right here

Jacob: Chresanto?

Chresanto: I'm right in front of you

Jacob: no not again. I lost him once. Not a second time

Chresanto: Jacob. I'm right here

Chresanto looked at his hands and they were fading, soon his whole body. He screamed too the top of the trees and his voice began fade away as well. It grew silent as everything got dark in Chresanto's eyes. For a moment, dead silence, then the soft melody of sniffling and sobbing. Chresanto opened his eyes and saw blackness.

???: he was such a goofy child. I remember once she when he was five-

Chresanto heard the familiar voice and realized he was laying on his back in the middle of an ebony box like figure. He tried moving his hands, but they were stiff and immovable.
