Jacob: thanks again mami for inviting me. I think this is what I needed
Mama Perez: oh you sure are welcome mijo. And smart of you to bring them with you
Mother Jones: bless his name. And I tell y'all today. Jesus came and he fixed it. I can walk now. He told me I didn't need that wheel chair anymore.
The congregation clapped and shouted with great joy. There they were in the third row: Mama Perez, Tony, Chresanto, Jacob, and Rayan.
Rayan: man is it hot in here, and you'd think they'd have air conditioning
Tony: I don't even know why she dragged me here
Mama Perez: shhh
Mother Jones: oh Lord. Jesus never fails. Y'all children think he ain't there, but I tell y'all he's for real. God's the one who holds our very life. I thank god for every day I live. So y'all get a hold of his unchanging hands church. Pray my strength in the Lord
Deacon: will there be anymore testimonies?
Jacob felt he need to get up and say what was on his mind, so he did.
Jacob: praise the Lord saints. I give honor to God, to the pastor, first lady, and to all the people that make this beautiful body. I actually have a prayer request. A friend of mine and I are currently taking care of my daughter. As of right now she's in the hospital with Beta Thalassemia Major also known as Cooley's Anemia. The doctor said it was a miracle that she was able to live this long. They said she should've shown signs of having the disease early on in her life and that since she's been untreated for so long, she should've been dead
By now the tears were already streaming down his face when it hit home yet his voice didn't crack. The usher came by with the box of tissues and lightly fanned him to comfort him.
Tony: I wish I had bitches around me to make feel better like that
Mama Perez: hush boy. I'm gonna deal with you when we get home. You not supposed to cuss in God's house. Treat it with respect or he gonna get you
Jacob: I know it was God keeping her all these years. She's never had any affliction get her. I really do desire you all's prayers and I believe that he will work a miracle.
---------------
Mama Perez: oh that was one of the best church days I've had so far
Tony: aye. I ain't know holy rollers can get turnt like that. Shieeet I'm Finna be up in here more
Mama Perez: what did I tell you?
Tony: what? we ain't inside the church
Jacob: no but you're technically on his font yard
Pastor: excuse me for intruding. But young sir with the fro, I'd like to talk with you for a second
The pastor lead Jacob to the side.
Jacob: yes sir?
Pastor: I heard your testimony and I would like to say keep your head up and stay encouraged. There's something else, God told me that she's gonna be fine. But it will be a rough journey to determine her health. You ask the Lord to guide you as you go on figuring out her cure. And if there's anything you need, you come to the church
Jacob: alright. Thanks I will
Pastor: God bless y'all now
Jacob met up with the guys at the car and pondered on what the pastor told him.
She's gonna be fine, but there's a rough journey? What does he mean?
Chresanto: alright see y'all next time
