Jacob: oh hi
Chresanto: I'm calling from the man's phone so I wouldn't want to talk for long and run his bill up. But I called to see how you we're doing
Jacob: oh I'm doing fine. Question is are you?
Chresanto:yeah I'm okay. You know I'm glad I saw you the other day
Jacob: yeah... me to
Chresanto: in fact I was wondering if you would like to maybe go out sometime. Bring the girl with us and just have fun
Jacob: well uuh I don't know when my schedule may be open. I have work and Lily school
Chresanto: well what time you get off work?
Jacob: around 5. Maybe subject to change depending on customers
Chresanto: and LilyAnn's school ends?
Jacob: 2
Chresanto: wait. Where does she be while you're still at work?
Jacob: there's an after school program at het school what takes care of them while parents are out
Chresanto: oh okay. Well maybe one day I can pick her-
Jacob: oh no no no you don't have to. Besides where's she gonna go?
Chresanto: we can go to the library where she can do he homework and I'll make sure its done. After that we can just go eat something. You know. I wanna spend some time with her so she can know I love her
Jacob: oh you sound like a father already
Chresanto: I've always been one. Just never had the opportunity to see my child. Now I do and she has a wonderful guardian
Jacob: well thank you
Chresanto: yeah
Jacob: yeah
Chresanto:.........
Jacob:.........
Chresanto:.........
Jacob:.......
Chresanto:.... you still there?
Jacob:... yah I'm here. Just thinking
Chresanto: may I know about what?
Jacob: just some things... that's all I can say
Chresanto: wait quick question.
Jacob: go ahead
Chresanto: what happened to your mom?
Jacob: well we didn't see eye to eye. It was in our best interest that I found a house of my own
Chresanto: so you basically got thrown out
Jacob: yeah
Chresanto: and Tony?
Jacob: well I haven't seen him since then so I don't know what he looks like now. I could pass him on the street and not even know who he is
Chresanto: oh. That's a bit unfortunate
Jacob: sadly
Chresanto: one more thing
Jacob: what is this. Trivia time.
Chresanto: this is the last one I swear
Jacob: okay tell me
Chresanto: well I was- never mind
Jacob: no tell me
Chresanto: nah. I'll ask you later
Jacob: Chresanto you know I don't like it when people take back things when they're in the process of telling it to me. Tell me Chres
Chresanto: well I don't know
Jacob: come on just tell me
Chresanto: no
Jacob: TELL ME!!!
Chresanto: so demanding. Anyways I was wondering if maybe you would consider.... getting back together..... hello??? Hello ??? Jacob you there???
Jacob sat there in silence as his mind processed what just happened. He felt so nervous and he didn't know what to do so he hung up the phone. He closed his eyes and let out a big sigh. He looked at the caller ID and dialed the number.
Chresanto: hello?
Jacob: yeah sorry about that. My uh phone was messing up...
Chresanto: That's okay. So what's your answer?
Jacob: uuh I uuh.... umm I I I gotta go LilyAnn wants me. Bye
Jacob hung the phone up again. Nervousness always kinda did get the best of grown up Jacob. He went to the bathroom and looked at himself. Tired. Bags on his eyes and he looked worn out. He had gotten ready for bed and tried to drift off to sleep. Insomnia took charge. He decided to check on LilyAnn. She slept like a little baby Angel on a cloud. He caressed her face and kissed her on the forehead.
Jacob: sweet dreams baby girl
Jacob made his way back to his bed and played a little music and had some green tea on the side. The warm tea and the hypnotic melodies gently and slowly rocked him to sleep. The morning came and Jacob woke up and started his daily routine.
Jacob: Lily wake up
LilyAnn: good morning papa
Jacob: morning baby girl. Time to get ready for school
LilyAnn: already? Papa can I just miss one day
Jacob: no honey. The more you go to school, the smarter you get
LilyAnn: okay. Can I have Lucky Charms today?
Jacob: sure thing. Now let's go brush our teeth
Jacob grabbed LilyAnn by the hand and took her to the bathroom. He grabbed her bubblegum toothpaste and princess toothbrush. LilyAnn smiled in the mirror and saw her pretty little white baby teeth.
Jacob: I will need to borrow your teeth and put them on a string. They're white as pearls
LilyAnn: papa my teeth are too valuable for that
Jacob: well go ahead and brush your teeth I'm gonna make breakfast
Jacob walked to the kitchen and made the Lucky Charms and Apple slices for LilyAnn and made an omelet and orange juice for himself. He looked at the clock and called for LilyAnn.
Jacob: aye Lily
LilyAnn: yess
Jacob: how do you feel about maybe spending a day with your daddy?
LilyAnn: I don't know him, but that my daddy so I love the idea
Jacob: good to know now finish your food so we go onto school
The two finished their breakfast and began to seize their day. Lily was sent to school and Jacob onto work.
