Colton looked at me with a worried look. I smiled at him. He walked towards me and smiled but I can see it wasn't a genuine one. "Hey." He said.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Huh? Nothing. Hussan just asked me some favor."
"What favor?"
"Uhhh he wants me to help him tend the crops tomorrow. That's it." He replied but seems so unsure. I know he was lying. I could see it in his eyes. "Ahh, I see." I wanted to speak up and be frank with him. We walked slowly towards Colton's house.
"Just to be frank with you, were you two talking about me?" I stopped and looked at Colton. I was kinda disappointed that he was lying to me. If I was him, I wish I never did.
"No. Uhm. No we didn't. "
"Are you sure? Because Hussan was looking at me strangely. He seems to hate me." I said. "Better tell the truth Colton."
" Okay, fine. We talked about you." He then told me everything about what Edmund told the people to avoid me. To be honest, I was a bit offended. Now the people in the compound is afraid of me. Because I'm an affluent? Doesn't mean I'm mean like my.... And then I remembered my brother. Felix, who was very desperate to win this game.
Oh my god. I forgot my mission. I need to go and find the control center and win this game to prove to my brother that im not a coward or a loser. That's why I came here.
"Wait! Colton. I need to leave now! I still have to continue my game." I told Colton.
"You just can't leave right now. We need to tell Edmund first." He insisted.
"If that would be the case that Edmund and the people around here would abhor me, I'd better leave and continue my game. I'm just gonna go back and get my things. Then I'll leave afterwards. And besides, why would I ask permission to someone who is not responsible with me." I started to walk away when Colton grabbed my arm.
"No, Claer. You don't understand me. The game isn't real. The center world and the council has abandoned you all here. They already fed you to the monsters. The control center don't even exist. Everything is just a hoax."
"What?! Hahaha. Come on Colton, stop deceiving me to give up my game because I want to win this. If you're just jealous that you didn't succeed when you were once part of it, don't include me on your failure. I still have a chance to go back to the center world and be a sky patrol unlike you, you don't have a chance anymore. So if I were you, back off and mind your own business."
"You know what Claer, don't blame me if anything goes wrong because I already told you everything. Don't ever come back to me crying for help. I tried my best but you showed me your worst. You have changed a lot Claer." His eyes were full of dismay.
"Me? Changed? You don't even know me and yet you tell me I've changed? Who are you to say that? Huh? Colton?" I stepped back and tears started to fall from my eyes.
I walked fast. Fast enough that I seem to run. To run away from Colton. I decided not to bother to go back to their house and get my things. Because I didn't want to create another chaos. I had enough of it.
I saw Alex ahead of me. "Claer? Where you going?"
"I'm going away. Away from this crazy place!" I ran and didn't look back.
I traced down the main gate where I first entered. A body built man was standing by the gate and two other men with fierce look. The body built man stepped forward to face me. He was tall and his shadow was hovering me. "Please open the gate." I asked politely.
