MASIXOLE NGQOTYANA

I could hear snoring softly so I swiftly moved her off my chest, and got up from the bed. I had work to do, to catch up on but I wanted to make her food first for whenever she woke up. Grilled chicken, stuffed peppers and creamy broccoli. When that was done I went to my study and channeled my work-mode. My phone rang as I was finishing up with my Power Point presentation,

"Larissa?" I answered my PA.

"Mr. N, how are you?" she sounded excited.

"I'm okay, what can I do for you?"
"Nothing really, I was just reminding you of the charity event that you agreed to attend at Mowbray."
"Oh the golf thing, when is it again?" I asked looking for my personal diary while speaking.

"It's tomorrow,"

I stopped and just sighed.

I knew I was missing something, and with Sibongile at my place, I wouldn't be able to attend, hence I took a few days off work. I wanted to spend quality time with her.

"You forgot, again?" she asked irritated.

"Uh yes, I forgot Larissa and I'm sorry. I know how much this event means to you,"
"You should know how it means to your business Mr. N, we can't always miss such events especially when it's our clients who are giving back to the community."

I didn't respond to that,

"I'll take Yolenda with me, it's fine."
"Thank you Larissa,"

"Have a good one,"

"You too," she hung up. I put the phone down and exhaled. I really didn't check, I thought it would be the following weekend. The weekend that I had cleared off any plans. I finished off my work and went to check on my girl, she was still in bed, but not sleeping.

"Hey beautiful," I kissed her lips as I slid right next to her.

"Ubuyephi?" was the first question followed by, "ndilambile" and that's when I knew ndi catch'ile nam. I had prepared ukutya knowing uzovuka e grumpy ekhala ngendlala. I chuckled as I showered her with kisses until she loosened up. My head on her bosom, eye contact intense we basked in that moment.

"Food is in the oven," I finally responded.

"You cooked?"
"Yes, why are you sounding shocked, you know I enjoy cooking for you."
"No you don't really enjoy cooking baby, thetha inyani. I have come to notice that you actually enjoy cooking after you've had some good spontaneous sex,"

I laughed, only because she was telling the truth.

She was a great cook, but she enjoyed cooking at her house. I was an average cook and I enjoyed cooking for her, after some great sex, as she mentioned. Motivation to go the extra mile never killed anyone.

"Would you like to go on a golf date tomorrow?" I asked because I really couldn't bring myself to missing that event. Yes, it was for charity, but the organizers were our biggest and most loyal clients. I knew they wouldn't mind seeing Larissa, but I promised Jansen I'd be there.

"Since when do you play golf?" she asked, sitting up.

"I don't, it's a charity event that I thought was next week, my PA just called to confirm my availability, and to remind me that ingomso,"

"Oh, can't she go on your behalf then?"

"She can and she will, but I promised the organizer that I'd attend,"

"Mh, okay."
"We don't have to spend the entire day there, just a few hours nje,"
"Okay, no problem we will go."

I planted a soft kiss on her, she got off the bed and pulled a gown pulling my slippers with her feet from underneath the bed. I watched her walking out, I took out my phone and called my mother. It had been a while and she had been nagging me about bringing Sibongile home, which we couldn't really do until she disclosed our relationship to her children first.
