-Sibongile-
Sivu and I went out for brunch, I showed her some of my favorite spots at the Waterfront while telling her about my own childhood. She cried, oh she was such a crybaby! We had good food, her father paid us a visit and they had their fair share of the most dreadful conversation. I was glad it ended on a high note, they hugged, made peace, and made each other endless promises. Which was good... I didn't want her to adopt my battles with our father.
I booked us flights to East London, she wanted to pay respects to mom, so I knew I had to accompany her. I still knew the grave... hopefully nothing had changed around the area. When we landed, I received a text from Vuyo, I almost screamed my lungs out. He had seen my text about Sivu and left me his number. I decided I would call him later on...
We got to the cemetery, I walked Sivu to the grave and then left her there, she needed privacy. I walked back to the car and called Vuyo...
Vuyo: Vuyo speaking...
Me: Eshe, awusekho formal. Unjani kwekwe?
He kept quiet for a second... and then cracked up, he must have realized ba ndim.
Vuyo: Dammit Sibongile!!!
I laughed at him...
Vuyo: Dude, uvelaphi??? Where the heck have you been? Abantwana baphi? Okay wait, why did you not update after changing numbers and changing houses?
Me: Soze ke Vuyo mna ndikwazi uphendula yonke lento uyibuzayo, ndize kakukhle. Ask one question at a time!
Vuyo: Hey sisi, phendula okwazi okwazi ukuyiphendula, I want answers mna qha.
I laughed at him, he hadn't changed one bit!
Still as loud, still Vuyo!
Me: Oko ndandise Kapa mna Vuyo, nini abantu abathi bofumana abafazi bandilahla.
Vuyo: Yho mntase, worse sendabuyela eMonti mna ngoku uOvayo ke uyamazi ngo yuruza.
Me: Are you in East London ngoku?
Vuyo: Yep, fully based here.
Me: Well ndilapha nam for the day, bendizise u Sivu kwingcwaba lika mama.
Vuyo: Send me your location mntase, soze kaloku siphosane senilapha.
Me: Alright, yho I can't wait to see you!
We laughed and hung up.
Sivu came back about 20 minutes later, I could see she had been crying. I go out of the car and hugged her, she broke down and let it all out. Once she was calm, we got in the car and waited for Vuyo to pitch. He came by, and we all shared a group hug right after I introduced them.
Vuyo: So, where to from here?
Me: Can I make a quick stop at the Life hospital? I promise I won't be long.
Vuyo: Sure, I'll just follow emva kwenu.
Me: Sharp.
We got into our separate cars and followed each other out of the cemetery and headed towards the hospital.
I eyed Sivu, she smiled and cleaned herself up.
Me: You okay?
Sivu: Yeah... uhm, I will stay here.
Me: You don't want to see Masixole?
Sivu: I don't want to see Ab- my sister works here. The one I told you about? She's a doctor here.
