Hello Again

Reunite

Kev comes walking back through the sliding doors looking much happier then before.
"Your time to shine Lily" he says with a finger gun. I look at him in shock. Is this the same person.
"I'll be back just getting some supplies for Jay" he says as he practically skips out.
I get up and hesitantly follow the nurse. I don't why but I'm nervous. Am I being annoying wanting to visit him. He probably doesn't even want to see me but is being polite. No don't be silly Lily it's fine. The nurse leads me to the room then opens the door, let's me pass the shuts it behind me. I look up to to see Jay and before I can think I run up and lightly hug him. One arm is still hovering in the air from him attempting to wave.
"Hi" he says with a cough. Then reality hits me and I bounce back, but I stand back so fast I trip over my own feet and fall flat on my ass. Silence. Jay bursts out laughing, I get up with flaming red cheeks chuckling lightly. I'll be thinking of this in 10 years when I'm trying to sleep.
"Wow, my life was in your clumsy hands. That's scary to know" Jay says well laughing still.
"Yeh I dropped my phone and tripped over. It's amazing your alive" I say well starting to laugh a bit harder. Jay snorts at my comment and his laughter slow dies down. Staring at him I start to realise how handsome he is, with blond hair that's parted in the middle, light green eyes, a jawline that could cut me and broad shoulders. He didn't look as bulky and Kev but still muscular, I could tell he was tall by the length of his body. He also looks familiar but I can't pin point it. Maybe I dreamt about home once or something.
"You look like a reck" he says to me well smiling but looking me up and down.
"It's been a stressful day" I say willing my cheeks to not burn as bright.
"Thank you"
I give a sad smile and look down in response knowing he's thanking me for today.
"I'm Jay" he holds out his hand.
"Lillian but you can call me Lily" I shake his hand. He pauses and his eyes widen.
"Lily" he says a bit louder with an open mouth.
"Yep" I say well nodding slowly. Gosh I hope the accident didn't mess with his head.
"Lillian cooper!" He says well smiling. Suddenly it's clicks.
"Jackson Nolle!" I say with wide eyes and a smiling creeping on to my face. He pulls me into a hug.
"I can't believe it" he says with disbelief.
I chuckle lightly in return. Jackson nolle was my best friend during summer camp of year 9. He was the shortest in the grade with full head gear for braces well I was a bit chubbier then every one else with no boobs yet and a very short uneven bob because I had tried to cut my own hair and failed miserably. The first night of summer camp some girls drew on my face with permanent marker, I couldn't get it off and was teased relentlessly the next day but when Jay saw me he went and drew a dick on his face so everyone started laughing at him. We were then inseparable all summer camp. When it was time to leave I didn't have a phone yet so I gave him my email which I immediately forgot the password to so i couldn't chat with him.
"Damn what are the chances. How have you been" Jay says after pulling back from the hug.
"I've been good. Even though you wouldn't know it looking at me now" I say with a laugh.
"Did you end up studying zoology?"
"Wow I can't believe you remembered! Yeh I am. Did you end up becoming a full time cowboy?" I say with a smirk, Jay laughs
"No the cowboy world just wasn't ready for me. I'm studying physiotherapy, I wanna help people recover who've been injured." I smile. Of course that's something Jay would do. We talked for hours. When Kev gets back we keep chatting with Jay until we're asked to leave buy the nurses. After exchanging numbers and Jay telling me how the paper I wrote my email on was eaten buy his dog and how he cried for days and me saying how I immediately forgot my password to my email we said goodnight. Me promising to comeback tomorrow.

"I have to say Jeff, I could eat 10 of these"
Jeff continued to look at the hashbrown in my hand. Using all my will power not to cook up 10 more I ripped jeff off a piece, he was already fat but he just loved food and him just being him was my weakness. After a stressful morning of promising Alissa that it couldn't be helped that I missed her party and that I was sorry for swearing at her, I'm now invited to her wedding!? Again I'm a people pleaser, I had to apologise. The good news is her wedding is in hawai and her rich husband is paying for my flights! I'm visiting jay again today and I'm a little nervous, you know when you haven't seen a friend in months and your nervous to hang out cause your worried it won't be the same but your also super excited, yeh that's me right now. I know that of course Jay will have changed since we were younger, I have too, I just hope we still click like we used too. After putting my hair up in a high pony tail with strands framing my face I put on a little makeup and some earrings. I chose to wear a long sleeve baby pink woolen cardigan with a pastel purple singlet crop top and some mom jeans, finishing the look with some converse. After looking in the mirror, shaking my head, then immediately putting on a bit more makeup I was ready to go. I grabbed my keys and ran out the door but paused before getting in. After two slow breaths I got in. It's fine. Jays fine.
