Hello Again

Panicked laugh

" I can't believe your getting out of the hospital tomorrow"
"I know, let me be free" Jay says loud enough for the rest of the hospital to hear.  After hours on the phone jay convinced his parents to stay on the overseas trip and convinced his older sister to stay in New Zealand where she was working. He told me he had actually just moved to my town and the day after moving in was his crash. Kev moved as well since he wasn't studying and wanted the adventure. Jays college was the next town over which was about 1/2 an hour but most of his classes were online so it was okay.
"Hey lil I gotta go these doctors are getting jealous "
"Ha...ha..ha..." I could feel jays smirk through the phone
"Bye" I hung up smiling. Since his crash I'd  visited jay also my everyday for 2 weeks. We caught up on all the things that had happened and watched a lot of shows. It was soo good having jay back as a friend but it made me a bit sad knowing all those years we missed out on hanging out together because of our joint stupidity. It was nice knowing his personality was still the same though, a funny, nice person who doesn't care what other people think but his body.... oh boy... that had changed alright. I didn't like what it was doing to me either, my cheeks get redder, my palms get sweatier..my thing gets........... beats faster, I was going to say my heart beats faster( get your head out of the gutter👏). I didn't know it was possible for someone to change so much yet be the same.

"Wow he really is that fat"
"Yeh but he's happy" I looked down at Jeff who was lying at my feet and smiled, he is the best boy.
"Ok so tell me, how did a 21 year old broke college student get a house on farm land all to her self" jay leaned back on the couch, I was on the other end with my legs crossed under me eating popcorn.
"My auntie passed away a year ago, I was her favourite so I got this in the will" I looked around at my house smiling
"Ha! Didn't that make your siblings mad"
I looked up smiling
" she left everyone a few little trinkets of some boxes and stuff but in her will she stated that yes i got the full house and if anyone complained she'd haunt them"
Jay laughed quietly. We sat in comfortable silence for a bit while hunterxhunter was playing in the background.
"Why did you move?" I look at jay and watched his posture stiffen but I could tell he was trying to play it cool
" just wanted an adventure" he waved his hand through the air and gave me a stiff smile. I wanted to press further but we'd really only known each other for a month and I knew he'd tell me when he was ready. I know that sounds mature but man it's hard not to press the issue.
" so Kev wants to have a house warming party, you in" jay asked a bit too quickly, definitely wanting to move on from the topic before
" why do I get the feeling your guys house warming party won't be a nice get together and show of the house" I say smirking
" it might be.." jay looked up in the air defiantly, I kept smirking at him
"Yeh ok it'll be a huge party but it will be fun"
"Yeh I'm in"
Jay looked surprised
"Wow I didn't think you'd like to party."
When I was younger and me and chase met I didn't think I'd ever want to party or drink, to be fair I also said I'd never die my hair or drink coffee but I was very shy when I was younger and wasn't exactly popular so it was something i didn't see myself ever enjoying. As I got older I became less shy(still quite a bit shy) but way more of a partier and a much more social person.
" I've changed a lot since I was 14 jay"
Jay looked at me with squinted eyes and a sly smile
"Yeh but I bet your still ticklish" my smile dropped but I tried to recover, i was still deadly ticklish but I didn't want him testing it( but a little bit of me did want him to test it)
"Nah I'm not" I replied to quickly and tilting my chin up to high. When he did respond i looked down and saw him bracing to jump
up, i panick laughed and tried to move the popcorn to the side to save it but as I was moving he lunged. The popcorn went flying and Jay was leaning over top of me as I tried to move out from under him, struggling to escape well not hitting his stitches.
"Jay stawppp" I screamed( keep going a little tiny voice in my head said)
Jay just laughed and kept tickling me
"Jay I'm gonna wet my pants" I screamed again( this time the voice was gone because my bladder has authority). Jay stopped but didn't move, he was looking down at me smiling and breathing hard. I was looking up and breathing hard. Then we both realised what we were doing and looked away. Jay sat back up clearing his throat well rubbing the back of his neck and looking down
"Sorry about the popcorn"
I laughed lightly
"Don't worry about" I gave him a cheeky smile then grabbed some popcorn and threw it at him. He laugh at three it at me but I opened my mouth and caught it. We stopped for a second then burst out laughing again. Jay then got up and help me start picking it up even though jeff was having a field day.
