summary: waiting for bucky to come back from a mission

Waking up in the morning, you felt yourself move over deeper into bucky's chest, only to find that he had already gotten out of bed. groggily sitting up, you looked around the room & yawned as you noticed he wasn't in the room. grabbing a warm sweater from the chair in the corner of the room, you threw it on before open ding the bathroom door to brush your teeth.

as you brushed & flossed, you just remembered that bucky was coming back from his latest mission today, which explained why he wasn't here. you were a tad forgetful. once you finished, you washed your face & freshened up to wake up before slipping some comfy socks on so you could head to the kitchen for some food.

"morning agent" steve said as soon as you walked in, giving him a smile while you grabbed the bottle of orange juice from the fridge.

"hey cap, did you—"

"bucky's alright. him & the others are on schedule & should be here by five-thirty this afternoon" he responded, making you flush.

you constantly asked steve about bucky's whereabouts since he was in charge of keeping contact with him & the group that left.

"i was going to ask if you were down to train with we & natasha today" you told him as you took a few sips of the juice, leaning against the island.

he put his newspaper down & looked at you with a short smile.

"just so i could beat both of you like last time? you sure?" he said cockily, making you roll your eyes.

"no fair. you have the serum, i don't. it's unfair" you told him which gained a laugh while you grabbed some cereal & milk.

pouring it into a bowl, you quickly ate it while the rest of the team that didn't leave with bucky started to pour into the room.

"morning mrs. barnes" natasha teased you as she gave you a quick hug, making you duck your head in your hands while everyone looked at you.

"we aren't even married yet!" you told her while she shook her head.

"you already act like you are y/n" she said, gaining agreements from steve, sam, scott & vision.

"how have things been going with you guys? anything new going on?" sam asked with quirky eyebrows, making you scoff at him.

"well you know, we like to keep things private cause it's what he prefers... but i must say. it's going really well" you said with a smile, gaining an awe from steve.

"how long you guys have been dating now?" scott asked while devouring a muffin, small bits falling from his mouth unto the floor.

"about five months"

gasps fill the room as soon as you said that, making you grow confused at their reactions.

"what was that about—"

"five months? seriously? i swore you guys have been a thing for like... a year or more" steve said in shock.
