when youve got a headstart

the words sounded rushed coming out of his mouth and they were. it was the first thing that came to mind since he usually takes advantage of the fact that around this time of night no one is in the commons and he can watch whatever he wants without any objections.

the blonde didn't respond to his question but instead used the sleeves of his hoodie to rub at his eyes and rid them of the salty liquid currently filling them. bakugou wiped his eyes with an unnecessary force and sero worried about the boys actions. his current demeanor was one of someone who has just had some type of emotional breakdown or panic attack. the way the blonde rubbed at his eyes showed that he wasn't okay and maybe that's a lot to assume just from the way someone wipes their tears but you gotta remember, the man just found his believe most confident friend curled in on himself crying on the kitchen floor.

sero watched the blonde boy as he stood up and walked to the couch. his steps were heavy and when he finally reached the couch the way he sat down seemed uneasy. it was like he didn't trust the couch would be there after he sat down.
sero decided that this was as much of an answer as he was gonna get and walked over to join bakugou. he grabbed the remote off the coffee table and swiftly turned the tele on while plopping down beside bakugou. maybe he was too close, maybe the sound of the tele was too loud, or maybe he sat down too hard because he saw the blonde flinch.

after making a mental note to be gentler sero turned to the blonde to ask him what movie they should watch. bakugou didn't respond verbally. instead he pulled out his phone, went to the notes app, and located one of the many lists he had made in his phone. he pulled up the one about movies and handed his phone to the tape quirked male hoping that he would understand.

sero took the explosive boys phone and tried to understand what the hell he was looking at. after a second he realized it was a list that read:
