Chapter 8: Leah assembles her team.

Leah's POV. Now I am looking for the fastest person in The Pride Lands for my team. Layla! We haven't seen each other in a while! Let's see how good she is at hunting. Layla's POV. So now I am hunting a cheetah. I know it sounds weird. I know what your thinking. 'Layla, How will you ever catch a cheetah? It is the fastest animal in the world!' Well, I am faster. I am staying downwind. I am sneaking to the cheetah. A tree branch just broke. I have to act fast! I run like I'm in a race! Success! Leah's POV. Wow. She hunted a cheetah! The fastest animal in the world! I sneak to her. "Hey, Layla! I saw you hunt the cheetah! Impressive!" I tell Layla. "Oh, Thanks, Leah. It was nothing. I could hunt 10 cheetahs at one time one the first try. I have done it before so I know I can." Layla tells me. "Wow. That's even more impressive. Hey, I want to ask you something." I tell Layla. "Ok, Make it quick. I'm going to hunt a wildebeest." Layla says to me. "I want you to be in my Lion Guard." I say before I put my paw on her right shoulder. 

It fades. "Thank you, Leah. I would be honored to protect my home." She says before she smiles. "Come on, Layla!" I tell my friend. "Where are we going, Leah?" She says as she runs by my side. "We're going somewhere else to find a member. Next is keenest of sight." So now me and Leah are running across The Pride Lands. Now we are at Koda's location. We walk slowly. Koda's POV. "Ooh, A bug. Delicious!" I mutter to myself. "Aaaand, bullseye! Mmm, delicious!" I say to myself. Leah pops out of the grass. "What are you doing, Leah and Layla?" I ask the two girls. "I want you in my Lion Guard, Koda. You have an eye for everything. Even in the sky, you have have an eye for everything. You will be the keenest of sight." Leah says before she puts her paw on my shoulder. 

It fades. "Thank you, Leah. I would be honored to protect my home and my kingdom. As future King, I have to protect my land." I tell my little sister. She and Layla smile. "Come on, Koda and Layka! Let's find a bravest!" Leah says to both of us. We find Bora. She truly is the bravest. She is my crush. All though she is my cousin, she is still my crush. Bora's POV. Now I am with a hyena pup. "Hey, this is my home now! You will never get my to go back to The Outlands! Unless you wanna fight! But spoiler alert, Lion Cub: I will win!" The hyena pup says challenging me. "Oh, yeah? Challenge accepted!" I tell the hyena. "Try to pin me. "Psh! That's too easy!" I say before I pin him. "Now out!" I tell ths hyena. "Fine! But next time you won't be so lucky." The hyena tells me. "For your sake, I hope there won't be a next time." I tell the hyena. "Wow, your so brave, Bora!" Koda says before I scream. "Oh, thanks, Koda! Don't ever sneak up on me like that again, though. That scared me!" I tell Koda and the others. "Oh, yeah. Sorry, Bora." Koda tells me. "It's ok, Koda. Hakuna Matata. Now, what are you doing here?" I ask Koda and the others. "I want you to be in my Lion Guard." Leah tells me. "I would be honored, but I have my stepdad to take care of. He is very sick." I tell the three. "Well, You could take care of him and all of the animals in The Pride Lands." Leah tells me. "Well, I have always wanted to protect a whole kingdom. I accept!" I tell Leah and the others before Leah puts her paw on my right shoulder.

The mark of The Guard fades. "Come on!" Leah says. "Where are we going?" I ask Leah. "We're going to find a strongest." Leah and the rest of The Guard says. "Oh." I say. "Stay downwind, Lion Guard." Leah says to me and Layla and Koda. Koda is my crush, actually. Author's note: Hey, Guys! So I decided a character in my story is a cousin! His name is Bakari. He looks just like Kion. He is the son of Vitani and Kopa. He is the firstborn. Soon, he will have a little brother. Mohatu Junior. Ok, that's it! Thank you for reading this Authoe's Note! I will get back to you shortly! Bakari's POV. So now I am challenging a crocodile for a mashindono for the lake. He wants to have it all for himself and the crocodiles. His name is Mamba. "These lakes are for everyone, Mamba!" I tell Mamba. "No, they are only for me and my gang of crocs!" Mamba tells me. "No, they are for everyone!" I tell Mamba.  I'm so strong that I headbutted him, and he flew away! "Whoa, you were---" Layla says before I run and pin her. 

"Pinned ya!" I say to Layla. "Bakari. Let her up." Leah tells me. "Ugh, fine. Such a buzzkill." I tell Leah. "Bakari, How would you like to be in The Lion Guard?"  Leah asks me. "What's a Lion Guard?" I ask Leah, confused. "The Lion Guard is made of 5 members. The fiercest,  the leader, AKA me, The Bravest, The Fastest, The Strongest and The Keenest of Sight. And I want you to be the Strongest." Leah tells me. "I accept !" I tell Leah. Leah puts her paw on my right shoulder. "Bakari, Welcome to The Lion Guard." Leah says to me. 

It fades.
