Chapter 23: The fire attack/I won't say I'm in love.

Asha's POV. "Hey, Kaii. I just wanted to say goodnight." I say to my childhood friend. "Goodnight, Asha." He says. 

I walk in. I smile knowing that the plan is including us being together. (The next morning:) "Good morning, Kai." I say to him. "Good morning, Asha." He says. 

"Good morning, Asha." Dad says. "Good morning, Daddy." I tell him.

"Goos morning, Mom." I tell her. "Good morning, Asha." She says. 

"Asha!" Sawa says. "Yes, Sawa?" I ask.

"There's a fire starting! It's about to really start!" Sawa says. "Oh no!" I say crying. 

Me and Kai jump down Pride Rock. We run. I look. I gasp. 

I try to put it out. I fail. Kai goes up Pride Rock. I try to jump up. 

I pass out. I fall. 

He runs down. He puts me on his back. He runs to the water hole. He splashes the water on my face. I cough. 

"Where am I?" I ask. "By the watering hole. I saved you." Kai tells me. I nuzzle him. He smiles. "I'm going to put out the fire." Kai tells me. "Ok." I say to him. [Singing:] Kai's POV. "If there's a prize for rotten judgement, I guess I've already won that. No girl is worth the aggravation! That's ancient history, been there, done that." I sing. "Who do you think you're kidding? She's the earth and heaven to you! Try to keep it hidden. Honey, We can see right through you! Boy, You can't conceal it! We know how you're feeling! Who you thinking of?" The lionesses sing. "No chance no way! I won't say it, no no." I sing. "You swoon. You sigh! Why deny it? Oh, oh!" The lionesses sing. "It's too cliche! I won't say I'm in love! I thought my heart had learned its lesson. It feels so good when you start out. My head is screaming 'Get a grip, Man'. Unless you're dying to cry your heart out!" I sing. "Girl you can't deny it.  Who you are is how you're feeling. Baby, We're not buying! Hon, We saw you hit the ceiling. Face it like a grown-up. When you gonna own up that you got got got it bad!" The lionesses sing. "No chance no way! Iwon't say it, no no!" I sing. "Give up, give in, check the grin you're in love." The lionesses sing. "This scene won't play! I won't say I'm in love!" I sing. "We'll do it until you admit you're in love!" The lionesses sing. "You're way off base, I won't say it! Get off ny case! I won't say it!" I sing. "Boy, Don't be proud. It's okay you're in love." The lionesses sing. "At least out loud I won't say I'm in love." I sing.
