Chapter 20: Leah goes back to The Tree of Life.

Leah's POV. I am walking to Asha. "Asha, I have to tell you something." I tell her. "Yes, Leah?" Asha says. "I am going back to The Tree of Life." I tell Asha. "What? Why?" Asha asks me. "I miss Skyler. He's my mate. I love him." I tell Asha. "I understand." Asha says. "Really?" I ask. "Of course, Lil Sis. I missed you guys the whole time I was gone." Asha tells me. "I'm glad you understand. Everyone but Mom, Dad, Koda and Zarina knows." I tell Asha. "Hmm. I'll assemble them and you will tell them the news." Asha tells me. "Ok. Go on." I tell Asha. (10 minutes later...) "Mom, Dad, Koda, and Zarina, You may wonder why Asha brought you here." I tell the family. "Yes." Mom says. "Most definitely." Dad says. "Affirmative." Koda says. "Whatever." Zarina says. "I am going back to The Tree of Life." I tell Mom, Dad, Koda, and Zarina. "What?" Mom says. "Why?" Dad asks. "Aww!" Koda says. "Whateves." Zarina says. "Mom, Dad, Koda, and Zarina, I am only going back so I can be with Skyler. He is my mate. I love him and he loves me." I tell, uh, you get the point. "We understand." Koda says. 

"Thank you, Koda. You are an amazing big brother." I tell Koda. "Well, I better start my journey. Like Basi always says, The sooner you go, the sooner you get there." I tell the family. "I am going to miss you, Big Sis." Zarina says. We hug each other. I smile before I start my journey. (A few hours later...) "Leah?" Skyler asks. I smile. "Leah!" Skyler says before we nuzzle. 

I give him a kiss. He returns the favor. "Leah, I thought you were never coming back!" Skyler says. "Of course I came back, Skyler. You are my mate. I love you. I will always love you." I tell Skyler. "Aww. I love you, too, Leah. I want you to meet my roommate. Silver, This is Leah. She is my mate." Skyler tells Silver. "Hi, Leah." Silver says. "Nice to meet you." I tell Silver. 

"Who is your friend, Silver?" I ask her. "Oh, this is my little sister. She is very playful." Silver tells me. "And what is her name?" I ask her. "I'm Kalu." The cub tells me. "You are very beautiful. Your fur is very rare. There are very few lions and lionesses that have your fur." I tell her. 

"Thank you. We are roomates and best friends, but we are close enough to feel like sisters. My adoptive parents are Sefu and Sawa." Kalu tells me. "And I have adoptive parents, too. Kayla and Kamili. I am around 20." Silver tells me. "Same age! My big brother is the same age. My little sister is 19. And my big sister is 22." I tell Silver. "And how old are you, Kalu?" I ask her. "10." She tells me. "I'll introduce you to my siblings. Hey, Tanuka! Zari! Come here!" Kalu says. "Hey, Big Sis!" Tanuka, AKA the boy sibling says. He growls.

"WHO ARE YOU?! GET AWAY FROM MY BIG SISTER!" Tanuka says. "Whoa. Little Bro, Chill out.  She's a friend." Kalu says. "Big Sis, She is bad!" Tanuka says. "No, she's not!" Kalu says disagreeing with her little brother. He attempts to roar but fails and makes a squeak instead.  He gives me a scar on my cheek. "Stop!" Skyler says. "You know her, Skyler?" Tanuka asks. "Yes! She is my wife! She is good! Stop or I will eat you alive!" Skyler says. "Sorry. What is your name?" Tanuka asks me. "Leah." I tell him. "I'm Tanuka." He tells me. "Hey, Kalu!" The other cub says. "Hey, Zaei. Leah, This is Zari. Zari, This is Leah." Kalu says. "Nice to meet you, Zari." I tell the cub. "Nice to meet you, too, Leah. Come on, Kalu! Let's play!" Zari says.
