CH.28 WAKING UP.

    ~ACE POV.

    Akila has been unconscious for a few hours. I called my doctor and asked him to come over right away. He's been working on her for about 2 hours now. Because he wouldn't let me in the room while he was working, I had to wait in the hallway until he was finished. I called my mother to inform her of what had occurred and to request that the boys be kept at the warehouse with my father. Then I called Akila's parents to inform them of what had occurred.

    I can't believe anyone would do such a thing to her. I'll make whoever did this pay when I figure out who did it. My stomach began to knot as I became increasingly nervous. One of my men approached me with Akila's mother and father. When she came through the door and passed out, I told her parents what had happened. The doctor came out after he was finished to explain how serious her condition is. She was stabbed several times, according to the doctor, six times in all. Her upper leg will be scarred for a long time. He also said that she had lost a lot of blood and that he was shocked she was still alive considering how much blood she had lost. He also mentioned that she should wake up within the next few hours, if not the next day. He left after we exchanged thank-yous and he gave me some pain relievers.

     When I looked at her parents, she told me that I should go in first. I felt a little pain in my chest when I went in and looked at her, seeing her swollen and cut. I can tell she fought back. When I recalled, I just smiled at her. We were practicing a few days ago, and I was certain that I could beat her, but I had no idea she'd take me for a ride for my money. She was fast, and with her pre-planned hits, you had no idea what she was going to do next. I was beginning to feel tired. I looked at my phone and it was 3;47 a.m. So I sat down in chair that was next to her, and lid my head on her bed and played with her side. I'm not sure when I fell asleep, but I awoke when I felt someone playing with my hair. "Whoever is messing with me, you better stop or I'll cut off your head," I said.

   AKILA: So you're going to chop my head off, because I messed with your hair?" When I heard her soft voice, I raised my head in surprise, and saw her smiling at me.

     I got up really fast off the chair, and laid down with her. ME: When did you wake up, are you in pain, do you need your pain meds, do yo-. AKILA: ce take a breath i'm fine. I just sore, and I just took one. My mother came in an gave me one, and I been up for about 2 hours. When I looked at my phone I seen it ws 1:30 p.m. ME: Holy shit I been sleeping all morning. She should have woken me up when you first got up. AKILA: I wanted you to sleep because it looked like you was up all night almost. I just rolled my eyes.

~2 months later~

     All Akila's scars are healed, and she could do anything now, but If I seen her even twitch I make her sit down, and rest. Tomorrow we have to plain for the twins birthday witch is the day after. Bryan n Ryan will be turning 3. I still can't believe I'm a father of 2 boys. I wish I was there for their 1st an 2nd birthday, but I'm just glad I'm here now. Akila still hasn't told me who kidnapped her, but I will find out, and when I do He/She will wish that they was never born. Now me, and the boys are in the living room watching "The God Father" While akila is in the kitchen with her mom, and dad. I was surprised they even know what that movie is about until they told me Akila used to watch it with them then they lived in the small house.

     The movie is now over when I went to get up I felt something fall on my legs. When I looked down I seen Ryan, and Bryn fast asleep. I picked them both up, and carried them both to their bedroom. After I was done I came back down stairs, and went into the kitchen to see my, and Akila's parents talking to each other, while Akila cooking dinner. I don't even question how my parents keep getting into my house with- out me knowing. ME: Bryan, and Ryan are sleep in their bed. AKILA: Okay I will put their food up, and they can eat it when ever they get up. I just nodded my head, and walked into the dining room with my mom to set the table.

    After Akil ws done cooking She brought the food into the dining room, and we all started eating. When I took the first bite the flavor exploded in my mouth. i thinking in my head that she might be a better cook then my mother. But I knew I would never say that out loud, because my mom might kick my ass. We all was talking, and laughing like we are one big family, until my dad brought up how Akila killed her dad's second in command. After he said that I almost chocked on my foot. My eyes went big while looking at Akila. ME: What why? AKILA: When he did something with out my dad knowing while making somebody life a living hell so I killed him. After sh esaid that she just shrugged her shoulders. I just nodded my head and ate more food. Imma have to tell her to cook more.

    After we all was done eating the girls went into the kitchen to do the dishes, while us boys went into the living room to watch football, while drinking a beer. After the girl was done they came in grabbed a beer, and started watching football with us. Everybody was a bengals fans while me, and akila was steelers fans. The game took a couple hours to come to a end. Akila, and I was rubbing in everybody faces that are team won. Now it was 12;28 p.m and both of out parents left. Now I am in one bathroom , while Akila is in another bathroom getting ready for bed. After I was done I went into my room and stopped dead in my tracks, and just looked Akila cleaning out her gun, while wearing a black, and silver lace night gown. ME: If you keep looking that that we won't begetting any sleep. I said with an eye brow raised up. Akila: That's the pain. After she said that she put the gun back together, and put in under her pillow. I got on the bed. (YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT HAPPEN) .. After we was done we both went to bed in each others arms.
