spring time was finally coming. the sun was shining in your face. making you look less pale and a little less sick. you felt like it too.

the last month had been torture for you.
whatever you were doing it always reminded you of the hole yuji left in your life when he died.
you couldn't sleep without his cuddles and you barely ate anything. no matter how much effort your friends would make. it just wasn't the same without yuji and it would never be.
that was okay. and it was obvious it wouldn't ever be the same without him. you just had to get used to it. your friends were so patient with you too. even though they had to fight with their own losses.
you knew that. and that was why you were trying so bad to finally get used to a life without yuji.
but the memories just seemed to haunt you everywhere.
even now you were reminded of him.

spring had been his favourite season. but instead of sad you felt kinda happy. you had always liked spring too. when the weather was getting warmer, the sun was shining longer and everything was getting light and colourful instead of dark and grey.
it was beautiful watching the nature change and turn into something more colourful. you even saw the first butterfly today.

you sat down, going back to your work on planting all kinds of flowers. you wanted him to have it as beautiful as possible.
if he had to stay here forever then it should at least look like something he would like.

you looked up again, seeing a cherry tree in the distance. the little pink flowers were beautiful, you ignored the little sting in your heart and welcomed the memories that were coming with the sight of the breathtaking tree.

"where are we going yuji?" you asked the boy next to you, while looking at his hand holding yours with a small smile. "it's a surprise." he answered once again. "i'm not telling you." he continued actually proud of not telling you. he had been scared that he would accidently tell you about the surprise. but he was keeping up great. much to your displeasure because you really wanted to know where you were going. you weren't mad or anything just curious and nervous as well.

megumi had told yuji about the park, you were walking ton, and yujiwas a 100% sure you would like it.
as you both liked the spring and in this park you could see a lot of butterflies and all the different flowers bloom just as you liked it.
he had prepared a picnic and brought blankets and some fairy lights for later on so you could also watch the stars.

as you arrived at the park, he squeezed your hand shy, making you smile once again. he was so adorable. your heart felt like it was about to explode. you would've never thought of this happening when you first met yuji and when he took you to the academy. first you even hated him because he had pushed you into this new yet very dangerous world.
but the last months you spent a lot of time together and he meant so much to you. he knew how to cheer you up when you were sad, and he would hold your hand to calm you down. he was always around and you wouldn't want it any other way. this could've been the worst date ever and you would have still enjoyed it just because yuji was there with you.

and next to yuji you had finally found friends you could rely on and that were not only after your money.
you were getting a long great with both megumi and nobora and you also loved them both dearly. as your friends obviously.

when you saw the spot yuji chose for the picnic you smiled softly. right under a big cherry tree with the now blooming beautiful pinkish flowers. "do you like it?" he asked anxiously and you smiled brighter.
"yes, this is great. thank you." you answered excitedly while you couldn't take your eyes of the beautiful tree.
when you looked over to him you noticed he didn't look really convinced. so instead of saying more, you collected all your courage, grabbed his hand, pulled him closer to you and kissed him softly.

a melancholy smile appeared on your lips as you thought back to the day.
your lips tingled a little bit, like they always would whenever he kissed you.
you leaned your head on the cold grave stone.
"i miss you so much." you whispered before going back to planting the flowers.
