A lady in maybe her thirties stands professionally in the doorway . "Hana, you're coming with me,".

"Wait, I-" Before I can protest, the lady drags me out of the dorm and into the elevator.

I look down at my clothing, black leggins and a white T shirt and blue socks. Fashion.

"Ms. Yang," I say, reading her name from her name tag. She looks at me. She doesn't look particularly mad, but if I asked any extra questions she would crack.

"I was informed that you were awake, and you have the very important awards event remember?" she says. The elevator reaches the first floor and we get out. "As your CEO, I think it would be best for you to attend,"

"Um, I'm sorry I don't remember-"

"sharon, call the driver out," Ms. Yang doesn't hear my words and orders the desk lady. The desk lady looks at me in surprise and smiles. She nods and gets out her phone.

We walk out the back door, and I get in the passenger's seat. Something about this lady makes me feel the need to shut up.

"Hana, I know you've been having a hard time. Just hear me out, attend this performance and I'll have a formal meeting with you tomorrow. This is a very important event that no company would dare to miss, you don't feel sick right? Just make sure to smile a lot okay? It won't be too long, and you can visit your other friends," The ceo says. As if on command I just nod and agree.

She drives fast to a different large stadium type building with a huge stage. She drags me backstage and hundreds of people are there. THey look like other singers or stylist people. People are bowing whispering things along the lines of

"It's the CEO!"

"It's Ms. Yang, I heard she's so strict,"

"Get out of her way! Be careful,"

I am a bit startled, and by a bit I mean a lot. As the lady drags me down another hallway, many people say hi to me and pat my shoulder. Do I know these people?

Ms. Yang opens a dressing room with a sign on the door that reads NEON. She shoves me inside and five other girls crowd around me, almost crying.

"Hey! Order, order in here," A different lady, with a nametag of Manager Lim separates them. "Welcome back Hana, I'm glad you're all better,"

I almost scoff, right, 'all better'.

She hurries me over to an empty spot and three stylist crowd around me. Before I know it I'm dressed in a short neon green dress one long white sleeve, ridiculous boots, and a fingerless glove and an arm warmer.

Literally what. They said I was a dancer? This looks more like it's halloween. Wait- is it halloween. Omg this is ridiculous.

The lights flash off and on a couple times and the manager yells, "okay! time to go, get on the stage people,"

She opens the dressing room door and I follow the sea of other singers. Why am I so short?

We all line up on the stage, NEON is in the very front on the right. I look into the empty crowd. There are no fans, just like 50 camera people.

Behind me stands Chanhee, and next to him, Kevin.

"What are you doing here?!" Chanhee whisper shouts to me, as the camera people set up.

"I have no idea. I was just dragged by someone called Ms. Yang," I explain.

"I swear, that lady-" Chanhee is interrupted by an important looking person that stands in front of the stage.

"Welcome all to the Melon Music Awards!" He says. all the celebrities around me clap and cheer, so I do the same thing.

"If you are new here, we film the award parts first, then start recording the live performances, okay?" he announces. Everyone nods, the guy steps off the stage and the cameras start rolling.

Three people, who introduce themselves as the MCs, stand in the middle of the stage in front of the crowd of singers. Yujin, Jihoon, and Sungchan they say.

They begin talking and announce winners, I just smile and clap when everyone else does. Around 20 minutes into the announcing my head starts to ache. I look around me.

This all feels so familiar. Too familiar. I need to know what's going on. I look behind me at Chanhee and he raises his eyebrows, asking what's up.

I shake my head and turn back to face the cameras. I look down the row of celebs to the very far left. A girl, who looks a bit older than me smiles at me, she looks important.

The girl standing directly to my left, who is apparently my bandmate gives me a smile. Everyone but Chanhee and Kevin seem to be completely oblivious to my situation. I guess they think I recovered completely fine. Gee, I sure did have a lot of friends. How did i deal with just being told what to do all the time?

A familiar background song starts playing through the speakers. Songs have been playing this whole time, relatively quietly. I look up, this song is very familiar.

Kevin taps my back. "This is your song," He whispers.

Ah, that's it. I guess I sang this. Wow, we're pretty good!

I look around once more, and a girl catches my eye. She's very pretty and tall, I guess she's part of NEON too, being only a few feet away. She looks back at me and smiles.

I stumble back a bit, and I feel Chanhee's hands supporting my back from behind.

Images flash in my head and I close my eyes, holding my head.

Water. A bridge. Text messages. A practice room. A knife. A scar.

The MCs are still speaking, and it's silence on stage around me but there are a million voices in my head.

I open my eyes and the last thing I see is her pretty face smiling back at me. No regret visible. The girl who has it all walks away without a trace.

The girl who is prettier than me. The girl who sings better. The girl who dances better. The girl who has it all. Kiki Chen.

"You should just disappear,"

"Please, let me help you,"

For some reason I have a feeling this has to do with Hana, she's been oddly quiet recently 🐍
^IKR since Kevin looks distressed too, he's her brother. Maybe Sunwoo and Hana broke up? Why is Chanhee sad tho? Ugh she ruins everyone's lives.

Break his heart and meet me in a week.

Don't worry
I'll find you.

"Your choice,"

"Don't let those scandals prevent you from what you really want,"

bet Hana forced him, look how unhappy Sunwoo looks when they were sitting in the cafe.

She should just go die

"I'm never letting you go,"

"Fine with me"

I don't need help. I don't need anyone. I don't need myself.

I'm fine.
