03 - The reality

Shit! Mave just remembered, she had to go to a party with Moya, Amy, and Calem. It was already 9:30, Mave quickly ran home, took a bath, and got ready. She wore a Hilfiger shirt, tight blue ripped jeans, and some black Balenciaga sneakers. Her mother wasn't gonna be home until 11 so she left a note on the fridge, which would be the first thing her mother goes to, saying she went out with Amy and wouldn't be back until 2 am at the least.

She went outside at 10:30 pm where they were all waiting for her. She pepped to the backseat door and greeted her friends as they drove off. "What have u been doing all day?" Calem asked. "Oh, nothing just jogging". "With Jordan?" Moya said noticing the blush on Mave's face. "Noo, with this guy named Jevy." She replied playing with her earrings again. They all laughed and Amy looked at Mave through the rearview mirror.

"Mhmm, another crush girl", "not really, he's just so.. mysterious and gentle you know?" Mave said, they agreed and pulled up at a Mansion. "Wait is this?-" Mave said before being cut by Amy, "yes, this is the Hamilton Mansion.". The Hamilton Mansion is literally where all the hot and cold stuff goes down, it belongs to both sides of the Hamilton family. And so Bonnia threw a party there and invited the whole school, even her cousin rival, Amy.

They all went inside. Mave rapped her long locs into a bun leaving two at the front. They all looked snazzy, the whole school was snazzy down to the nerds.
Calem went to look around but what he was really up to was to go gamble after his friends told him not to. Moya, Amy, and Mave went to sit on one of the leather couches and got some drinks. As the three girls looked around the room, boys kept stealing a peep, whether they were talking and just taking a second to admire the girls, or they just straight-up starred.

It all stopped tho when Bonnia, Jada, Sarina, and Jazmin stepped in. They all seemed to look a bit slutty in their outfits. Sarina and Mave glared at each other for a whole 2 minutes before Jordan went over to Mave to say hi. They both went somewhere else leaving Moya and Amy. They sat around the back near the pool where not many people were, just couples and romantic yellow fairy lights all over the place.

"U know I really do like u a lot Mave," he said at the moment, "I like u a lot too" Mave replied blushing. The two kissed passionately at the moment.

A game of Rock Paper Scissors with cards playing upstairs in the gamer's room. "Rock! Paper! Scissors!" The two shouted. The game is played like this,
cards with Rock, Paper, and Scissors individually in a box. The two players dip their hands in for three cards and play rock paper Scissors, picking their cards wisely. Like actually Rock Paper Scissors but with cards and money.

Calem and Mckay both tied in the first with two rocks, in the second. Knowing Mckay was cheating somehow, Calem looked around. "ROCK PAPER SCISSORS!!" The room went silent as the players rest their cards, Mckay eager to see if he had won.

And he did Scissors to paper. The last set of cards (round 3) came along. The tension was even higher, they both bet with 3k. Who will be getting the 9k?
In the first throw, Mckay won, Calem being calm won in the second throw paper to rock. "Rock! Paper!" The crowd cheered.

Calem won one row of throws and Mckay won one row of throws, best two out of three.

"Mave!" Amy shouted as Mave was too busy cuddling and talking with Jordan. "Huh?!", "Calem's gambling again!" Amy shouted back. Mave got up and apologized for leaving, Jordan was understanding and Mave ran to her friends as they went to drag Calem out of the Gambling Room.

"SCISSORS!", the two players rested their hands slowly. Moya, Amy, and Mave watched before dragging Calem out of there. "You're pathetic to think you'd win," Calem said all pumped up and scary. They both held back their last card and didn't rest it, "I saw your little pattern McKay, u know, you're not that smart. U had someone behind me to tell u my cards, you're sweating cuz you know you're about to lose." Scared and soaked in sweat, Mckay dropped his card Rock, Calem let out a loud laugh "AHAHA! Ahahahaa!" As he dropped his card paper, on the table.

Calem collected all the cash off the table. "Where's my extra 3grand Mckay." He said with a stern, frightening face. Mckay took up his bag and threw 3 bricks (3 grand cash) on the table and held his head down, defeated. Calem collected 1k and threw the other 2 grand in Mckay's lap. "Nice game dude," Calem said before spotting his three best friends at the doorway all looking pissed at him.
"Guys come on, I won $200,000," he said trying to bribe them.

"Come on u fool, let's go Mave and Amy," Moya said as the four walked out.
Where's Jordan... Mave thought to herself. Mave looked in her phone and found an iMessage from Jordan, she had collected his number from the 1st party and the two have been texting a little. "Had to bounce, I had fun with tonight tho ❤️" the message said. With a smile, Mave replied with "I had fun too lol ❤️".

The four teens sat outside where Jordan and Mave were earlier. They talked and laughed, Moya and Amy, leaned on each other and so did Calem and Mave. Right there Mave realized, she had three best friends and the four of them were all in it together.

The next morning Mave woke up and went about her morning. Eating her grilled cheese and scrambled eggs, she remembered what Vonia and Jevy had told her in the woods. "Mom.." Mave said looking at her mom in the kitchen drinking coffee and on her phone. "Yes, hun?" She replied. "Are Witches real?".
Suddenly Catherine coughed, surprised.

"Umm, why u asked that Mave?" She questions. "Oh no reason," Mave replied. "I- well-." Catherine stutters, she knew she couldn't tell her daughter something, but she had to tell her the truth. "Yes. They are hunny, and there are other things that u really should know soon..", Mave was now worried, "hun... have u met anyone strange? Or weird?".

"Yes, a boy actually .." Mave said being honest with her mother.
"Well, they might be witches.", hearing this Mave couldn't hold back the laughter. "Witches?? Jevy?? A witch??" She said giggling and panting.
"They live in camouflage mansions, usually covered by a spell to make it look like an old abandoned church." When Mave heard that, she stopped laughing. "Witches... they're bad news."
Her mother said.

Mave's eyes widened, From the news, but she was going to get prove that Jevy and Vonia were not Witches. She headed out to get 2 large pepperoni pizzas and a large 2ml bottle of juice. She went through the woods, sat, and waited on her two new friends to meet her.

"And who are u to be meeting here." A voice said. Mave slowly looked up and behind her to see a tall, Latino boy with long black curly hair and green eyes. He had perfect chiseled cheekbones, with a nose piercing, and stud earrings on. He wore a shirt with a graphic melting skull on it, black ripped jeans, big black sneakers, and a black leather jacket. He had on a big chain on his neck and chains on his black pants as well.

Mave swallowed her saliva in fear. The boy with a smirk said, "you're in a lot, of shit."
